Did you know that the Georgia Skydiving League beat the weather on the second day of the meet? posted: Jun 9th, 2004 The second GSL meet of the season was held at Atlanta Skydiving Center in Cedartown, Georgia on May 29th. Five teams showed up ready to compete: Inviscid and Kinesis in the Advanced Class and GT Airlock, GT Fusion, and Intrepid in the Intermediate Class. Unlike the first meet of the season at Skydive Monroe, poor weather kept the teams on the ground for the duration of the day. The teams were released early in the evening.Because the meet had to be continued on Sunday, neither Intrepid nor GT Airlock was able to return to compete in the Intermediate Class. Did you know that the last round of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2004 is now on NSL-TV? posted: Jun 8th, 2004 The NSL-TV just posted the last round of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2004. This means that the coverage of this exciting event has come to its end, which is just in time for the next great 4-way competition coming up. Round ten of the Shamrock Showdown gives the NSL-TV audience the last opportunity to compare DeLand Majik and Sinapsi PD directly with each other. Both teams will have the next 2004 showdown at the IPC Anton Malevsky Memorial World Cup 2004, which will begin on June 29. Did you know that the new Norwegian national team will compete at the Malevsky World Cup 2004? posted: Jun 7th, 2004 The Norwegian national team Arcteryx is the only team in the line-up for the IPC Anton Malevsky Memorial World Cup 2004 that has not been introduced yet. This is actually not a surprise since Norway is also the nation that has gone through the most significant changes. The Malevsky World Cup 2004 will be the first competition for the current line-up with Ditta Valsdottir (Point), Ole Petter Hjelle (Center Outside), Tore Buer (Center Inside), Oyvind Buer (Tail) and Morten Sondrol (Video). Did you know that the NSL SkyVenture Competition certificates are ready for delivery? posted: Jun 4th, 2004 The wait is over. The NSL SkyVenture Competition certificates are now available. The NSL headquarters will begin mailing them to the league directors today who will then hand them out at the next meets. The NSL News reported earlier this year that Perris SkyVenture joined SkyVenture Orlando for the 2004 season to make the NSL SkyVenture Competition even more attractive and convenient for the winners. Both SkyVenture operations in Perris, California, and Orlando, Florida, agreed to work together with the NSL headquarters and offer the same prizes as in the past two years. (more)
Did you know that the second round of the last Southwest Skydiving League meet is now on NSL-TV? posted: Jun 3rd, 2004 The new round of NSL-TV is now posted. The 12 teams that competed at the third season meet of the Southwest Skydiving League 2004 were facing the second round with two- or three-block sequences. The sequence for the AAA Class was faster this time compared to the sequence for the AA Class teams (17-22-20). Block 17 (Danish T - Murphy) at the beginning of the AAA Class sequence gave the teams at least a good time out the door. The rest was hard work with little reward on the scoreboard. (more)
