Did you know that the Rookie Class teams dominated the July 3 meet weekend?
posted: Jul 10th, 2010 The new meet weekend is in full swing, and the first scores will be posted very soon. The NSL News goes back to the last weekend one more time, as it featured a special and unusual occasion. It was a weekend where the Rookie Class teams had the strongest participation of all four competition classes. In fact, the number of Rookie Class teams was identical with the number of total teams in the three other categories. Did you know that Midway 8-way videos show a very strong US Army team?
posted: Jul 9th, 2010 The videos of the Midway Battle, provided by Skydive Chicago and Camscore, also included the two competition jumps of the Golden Knights in 8-way. The NSL News story on 12 June 2010 covered the Golden Knights scores and the situation of the French national 8-way team, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, after the meet weekend on June 11. Both 8-way teams had agreed to jump the same competition draw, France at LeBlanc, host of the second Coupe de France 2010 event, the US Army team at Skydive Chicago during the Midway Battle. Did you know that Canada Evolution is not that far away from the very top?
posted: Jul 8th, 2010 The NSL News story on 28 June 2010 brought back to mind the situation of the Canadian national 4-way team Evolution. The LeMay family team is getting ready to compete at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 and post the team's best meet average ever. The 23.2 average after the five rounds at the Midway Battle, which would most likely still stand after all ten rounds, is the highest average that the Canadian team has ever posted. Did you know that NSL-TV features the Arizona Airspeed videos of the Midway Battle?
posted: Jul 7th, 2010 The new meet videos of the Midway Battle include the latest competition jumps of the reigning 4-way world champions, Arizona Airspeed. Airspeed had direct competition at Skydive Chicago, as Perris Fury and Canada's national 4-way team Evolution made the trip to Illinois, as well. However, Fury was troubled by several point deductions and could not get numbers posted on the scoreboard that would put serious pressure on Airspeed. posted: Jul 6th, 2010 The NSL News has a good reason to go back to Skydive Chicago's Midway Battle since the meet videos are now available, thanks to Skydive Chicago. The NSL-TV coverage begins with Perris Fury's five competition jumps. The NSL News story on 29 June 2010 had provided the penalty information of all teams, and Fury had the biggest damage with a total of six point deductions. Did you know that scores from Finland bring back the Road to Russia?
posted: Jul 5th, 2010 The newest scores of last weekend's events have come from Finland. A total of four teams met in Hanko, the skydiving center of the biggest Parachute Club in Finland, the home of the skydivers who live in the capitol city Helsinki. Meet Director and Event Judge Jukka Olkkonen reported that he had a perfect meet environment this time. He said that a few more teams could have been accommodated if he had more videographers.
