posted: Aug 8th, 2006 Italy's 8-way team Ex3mo caught up with the German team FSC Remscheid after an excellent performance in round two. The Germans had a good jump jump and scored only one point below the current German 8-way highscore. However, it was not good enough to keep up with the outstanding Italian performance in this round, and the game is tied. (more)
News Article Did you know that the teams are back in the air?
posted: Aug 7th, 2006 The weather has improved, and the teams are back in the air. First of all, the first round in 8-way needed to be completed. Only Arizona Airspeed and the South African 8-way team had missed round one and boarded the Twinotter for the last 8-way activity today. The 8-way teams were done for the day after round one. South Africa posted an 8-pointer and is one point ahead of Belgium in 8th place. Arizona Airspeed had a strong first page and got caught with an incomplete Frisbee at the beginning of the second page. posted: Aug 5th, 2006 The NSL News found the Fun Flag last year at the Malevsky Cup 2005 when a secret meeting with the Canadian team Stratosfear was successfully arranged. The NSL News story on July 11, 2005, provided the confidential insider information. NSL-TV was even able to present a video of the official rising of the Fun Flag, which is still available for viewings (click here). The NSL News had the Fun Flag on its agenda for the World Meet 2006, and the story begins early. The search for the Fun Flag was already successful, and it has still been in possession of the Canadians ever since the Malevsky Cup.... (more)

posted: Aug 7th, 2005 There was a time in Formation Skydiving competition history when Canada was one of the leading nations in the world. Back in the 70's and 80's, think tank Eric Bradley invented the "Boxman" body position and structured the first and most successful load organizing system in Zephyrhills. Rob Laidlaw was an active competitor and guided Canadian 4-way and 8-way teams to medals at world championships and world cups. He later founded Skydive University together with Tom Piras. News Article Did you know that the Canadian team Stratosfear has possession of the Fun Flag?
posted: Jul 11th, 2005 The fast round ten of the 4-way competition at the Malevsky Cup 2005 allowed all teams to raise the meet average for the whole meet. It was also an opportunity to go after national highscore records. The NSL News could not keep track of all new official records that were posted in this round. However, the Canadian national team Stratosfear informed the NSL News that the team's score of 20 points in round ten would be a new Canadian 4-way record. The old and official Canadian highscore of 19 points was already posted in 1997. Stratosfear's 20-pointer needs to be recognized by the FAI and the... (more)
