News Article Did you know that NSL-TV features the Best of Indoor Cloud League September?
posted: Oct 23rd, 2019 The Indoor Cloud League leaderboard for the month of September presented a new participating team from iFLY Jacksonville in Florida, as the NSL News reported on September 30th. The new team started with five of the six ICL sequences and will try to submit a full set for October. The September video features the best performances of the month that the Hurricane Factory won with the highest total of the 2019 season. Hurricane Factory and Paraclete XP each claimed three of the six highscores on the 14+ leaderboard, while iFLY SF Bay won all three technical sequences (AAA - AA - A) over iFLY Orlando... (more)
News Article Did you know that the British delegation was the second largest at the FAI World Cup?
posted: Oct 21st, 2019 The British delegation at the FAI Outdoor World Cup was the largest one behind the host nation, the United States. Six British teams were registered for the traditional Formation Skydiving events (4-way Open - 8-way Open - 4-way Women). France was the only other nation with teams in the same three events, while it was logistically much easier with the French 8-way team fielding the two French 4-way teams at the same time. The U.S. delegation consisted of a total of 11 teams for the three events, and three additional teams competed in 4-way VFS. The U.S. delegation collected a total of seven... (more)
News Article Did you know that the 4-way gender-mix at the FAI World Cup was almost equal?
posted: Oct 18th, 2019 It has been a while now that FAI/IPC apply the same numbers and letters for the competition draw in all four Formation Skydiving categories (4-way Open - 4-way Women - 4-way VFS - 8-way Open). It happened again at the FAI Outdoor World Cup last week. 8-way Open and 4-way VFS have naturally different maneuvers for the same numbers and letters. The identical competition draw, sequences and maneuvers for teams in 4-way Open and 4-way Women allows to compare the scores directly, and the NSL News aftermath of major events includes this feature traditionally. There are actually three different... (more)
News Article Did you know that Phoenix XP and Skynamite members knew each other from Australia 2018?
posted: Oct 16th, 2019 The 4-way Women competition at the FAI Outdoor World Cup featured not only a new showdown between the French Weembi Girls and NFTO. In fact, the battle between Phoenix XP (United States) and Skynamite (Germany) for the FAI bronze medals was closer than any other competition for medals at the event. It ended with a 2-point difference to the advantage of Phoenix XP, and it could have ended the other way around, as well. Both teams took turns in winning rounds from the beginning to the end. It was not a big surprise that Phoenix XP was in contention for 4-way Women medals, despite the late personnel... (more)
News Article Did you know that the new French Weembi Girls created a 16-point cushion for the "French Mission Impossible"?
posted: Oct 15th, 2019 One of the major components of Mathieu Bernier's master plan to win two sets of FAI gold medals next year in Tanay has been his national team in 4-way Women. He used the time after last year's outdoor world meet in Australia and the beginning of the following indoor competition season to create this challenging master plan how France could get the most out of the current situation after missing the 8-way competition in Australia. He announced his plan in January this year, and the NSL News has covered the new "French Mission Impossible" with several updates ever since. French national... (more)
News Article Did you know that the four U.S. teams created the first 4-way Open Class world cup sweep?
posted: Oct 14th, 2019 The 4-way Open Class re-match between Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP had a completely different outcome compared to the USPA Nationals. The second 4-way duel within three weeks never even progressed into a serious competition for the 1st place at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2019. Airspeed on home turf was a different team and ran away from all other teams, including the new U.S. 4-way champion. The slower competition draw did not allow any of the participating U.S. teams to copy or get close to the meet averages that they had shown at Skydive Paraclete XP in September. SDC Rhythm XP dropped... (more)
