posted: Oct 27th, 2023 The last NSL Live Talk on Zoom was a conversation with NMP PCH HayaBusa's 4-time world champion David Grauwels on October 18th. He confirmed that the Belgian world-class team had completed their selection of a new team member. David Grauwels also mentioned that his team would very soon begin with the new lineup's first outdoor training, which was scheduled for this month at Skydive City. The introduction of the new team member would rather be a personal one during this training camp, and the complete lineup was available on Thursday after a short training day. posted: Oct 25th, 2023 The NSL News covered 4-way VFS competition for the first time in April 2006. The success of the growing NSL 4-way Network in the United States and in other countries had inspired VFS teams and competitors to become a part of more organized 4-way competition with more regional events. VFS eventually even had its own presence as a league at SKYLEAGUE.COM. Skydive Chicago, Skydive Perris and Roaming DZ Dublin hosted three events in 2006, four years before the event would be integrated into world championships. News Article Did you know that Christy Frikken offers two SCSL meets before the USPA Nationals 2024?
posted: Oct 24th, 2023 Christy Frikken, who has been managing the Southern California Skydiving League since the beginning of the year, recently announced the event schedule for the 2024 season. The NSL News reported on February 5th that the former Perris Fury and SDC Rhythm XP member would continue the league affairs when her former Perris Fury team mate and Airspeed member Josh Hall stepped back at the end of the 2022 season. News Article Did you know that potential hosts for the outdoor world championship have three weeks left for the bid?
posted: Oct 23rd, 2023 The recent cancellation of the next outdoor world championship stirred up activities with the purpose of finding a replacement host for the event. The official announcement by the ISC Bureau included the mention that potential hosts have time until November 15th to submit a bid: "The ISC Bureau unanimously, and in agreement with the organiser, took the decision to cancel the event for 2024 and to seek (an) alternative host(s) for the four Championships. Delegates will be informed and given the opportunity to bid for one or all the events during a short time frame ending on November 15th." The... (more)
News Article Did you know that Finland was back with 4-way action after a 5-year break?
posted: Oct 22nd, 2023 According to the NSL News records, the last 4-way outdoor competition in Finland was held in July 2018. Three teams competed in the AAA Class, and the NSL News reported on 5 August 2018 that young Kalle Pohjola attended his first outdoor event for Finland's Pro Team. The Pro Team, with father Kimmo Pohjola and son Kalle in the lineup, together with long-time members Eija Suvala and Emilia Sormunen, followed up a year later with the ten outdoor rounds at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2019 at Skydive Arizona, where they made the Top 10 and finished only ten points behind the bronze medal position. News Article Did you know that Austria's 4-way champion teams since 2013 were back on the leaderboard together?
posted: Oct 21st, 2023 Austrian team Final Fire were undefeated in their homeland at outdoor events between 2013 and 2019. They represented Austria at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2015 (6th - 17.1) and a year later at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2016 (10th - 17.8) which was the end of the team's international 4-way presence. Final Fire then continued with a variable lineup and without training, except for possibly a few warm-up jumps before any meet that they would attend.
