Did you know that Spa Hayabusa lost four points after missing the load this morning? posted: Aug 9th, 2006 Wednesday has been a turbulent day so far. The weather situation makes it very difficult for teams, competitors and management to keep the meet moving forward. The judges had to give up on some of the jumps when they were not able to identify formations and maneuvers due to the industrial haze. (more)
Did you know that Belgium gave up a point after missing the plane? posted: Aug 9th, 2006 An early start on Wednesday morning helped to complete the 3rd round in 8-way and to get quite far in the 4-way Open Class competition, as well. Unfortunately, the meet was on a weather hold once again at 9:00 am. The teams are on a stand-by status and might be called to the planes at any time. (more)
Did you know that DeLand Fire took the lead in round two? posted: Aug 8th, 2006 Italy's 8-way team Ex3mo caught up with the German team FSC Remscheid after an excellent performance in round two. The Germans had a good jump jump and scored only one point below the current German 8-way highscore. However, it was not good enough to keep up with the outstanding Italian performance in this round, and the game is tied. (more)
Did you know that Perris Airkix catches up? posted: Aug 8th, 2006 The weather in Gera has not improved much yet. It is slowly getting to the point where a closer look at the rule book might be helpful for the teams. There is no minimum number of rounds any longer to determine the winners. One complete round would be enough to declare a new world champion.
The minimum number of three rounds was removed from the rule book years ago. Round one of the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 could theoretically become the most important round for the teams on the competition site in Germany.
