News Article Did you know that the 8-way competition in Eloy features Airspeed versus Italy?
posted: Feb 18th, 2006 The NSL News was busy all day long just updating the website with scores and meet videos for NSL-TV. The NSL News will follow up with stories and interviews later. The 4-way competition was obviously fun to watch, and the teams took advantage of the two faster rounds to finish with great meet averages. The three top teams launched the 2005 season already with scores above the 20.0 average. Airspeed Velocity with the two new members Eric Gin and Thomas Hughes was probably the biggest surprise of the meet. The 21.0 average was the team's highest meet average after a total of four training jumps.... (more)
News Article Did you know that DeLand Fire's Gary Smith provided his preview of the Valentine's Meet?
posted: Feb 15th, 2006 The 2006 season opener with the SSL Valentine's Meet at Skydive Arizona in Eloy is just around the corner, and the NSL News has already covered the event with two previews. The direct link to the event pages has been set on the front page, and the NSL News is ready to move the temporary office to the west coast. The competition draw will be posted Friday evening, as it has become normal procedure throughout the 2005 season. The actual event coverage will begin Saturday morning with scores, stories, pictures and hopefully a big load of new meet videos for the NSL-TV. (more)
News Article Did you know that Synchronicity will not defend the World Championship title this year?
posted: Feb 14th, 2006 The NSL News story on February 8 offered a short preview of an upcoming story: "The NSL News will follow up with more breaking news very soon. Marylou Laughlin also confirmed that the US team for the World Meet 2006 in the Women's Class, the reigning world champion Perris Synchronicity, has officially canceled its trip to Germany. Synchronicity has asked for one of the four US slots at the Malevsky Cup 2006 instead." News Article Did you know that the SSL Valentine's Meet 2006 promises exciting competition?
posted: Feb 11th, 2006 The 2006 season opener of 4-way competition is only one week away. The Valentine's Meet at Skydive Arizona has been the first competition of the new season for many years, even before the Southwest Skydiving League was founded. However, in the last years, SSL management and Skydive Arizona have worked together, and the competition in Eloy has become a part of the SSL schedule every year. The Valentine's Meet has always consisted of 4-way and 8-way competition. The event begins with six rounds of 4-way on Saturday, the 8-way competition follows on Sunday. News Article Did you know that the Ranch Skydiving League prepares its comeback in 2006?
posted: Feb 10th, 2006 The NSL News story on January 19 reported that the New England Skydiving League plans a comeback for the 2006 season, directed by Beth Murray and supported by team Mass Defiance. It was a coincidence that Christine Kelley of the Blue Sky Ranch contacted the NSL headquarters almost at exactly the same time and laid out plans to re-activate the Ranch Skydiving League. News Article Did you know that Team America finished the NSL Championship 2005 with a statement?
posted: Feb 9th, 2006 The videos of round ten at the NSL Championship 2005 complete the NSL-TV coverage of this event. All the 4-way competition jumps that were made at SkyQuest in November last year can now be viewed on the NSL page of the SkyQuest website by clicking on the score of the jump. (more)
