The group of teams that will most likely compete for the top ranks of the 2005 season and were covered by the NSL News includes DeLand Majik, DeLand Fire, the Golden Knights, two Arizona Airspeed line-ups and Fastrax.

Did you know that the 2005 Army team is the strongest one that John Hoover has ever been on? posted: Jan 19th, 2005 The NSL News currently tries to introduce all the teams that will most likely be in contention for the top ranks of the AAA/Open Class in the upcoming 2005 season. DeLand Fire, the newly formed team with Natasha Montgomery, Gary Smith, Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo and Thomas Hughes was the first team in this series. Arizona Airspeed's Craig Girard then provided an update from the team's headquarters in Eloy, Arizona, while the NSL News was waiting for news from the Golden Knights and met with team Fastrax at SkyVenture Orlando.

Did you know that the DeLand Majik project will continue? posted: Jan 17th, 2005 The NSL News promised earlier that a DeLand Majik update was in the works. It has been quiet around the team after Majik won the world championship in September last year and also took the gold medals at the USPA Championship 2004 in October. The only news story touching DeLand Majik was posted when Gary Smith left the team to join the new team "DeLand Fire". The NSL audience has been waiting for news as of the team plans for the near future.

Did you know that the new round of NSL-TV comes with a new design? posted: Jan 15th, 2005 The NSL-TV carefully prepares for an extension of the program. The vision of a more comprehensive and entertaining on-line NSL-TV program has been a long-term project for the NSL headquarters. Creating colorful and diversified video files is time consuming and requires additional staff. However, competition jumps, interviews, comments, stories and more will eventually be shown on NSL-TV.
So far, NSL-TV included only the freefall footage of competition jumps. This time, the jumps are presented with more specific information of the event, the jump and the team. The size of the file has been reduced... (more)
Did you know that BJ Worth tries to help building the World Skydivers Village in Thailand? posted: Jan 13th, 2005 Kaleidoscope Dives manager of SkyQuest Florida, World Team leader and former IPC President BJ Worth is leading an effort by skydivers to support the disaster relief after the tsunami damage in Thailand. Worth has a close connection to the "Land of the Smiles" where he has organised several skydiving events in the past. He explained the project in an e-mail that was sent to his following:
