News Article Did you know that Jeana Billings, Brenn Richards and Kirk Verner player-coached Paraclete XP's ICL lineups in November?
posted: Dec 4th, 2022 It did not take very long until the NSL News turned once again to Paraclete XP, this time with a topic related to the Indoor Cloud League. The previous update on December 2nd had covered the changes in the XP8 lineup. Both topics are naturally connected, as XP8 member Jeana Billings has been managing and organizing Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team, together with her XPG4 team mate Brenn Richards. Their XPG4 team mates Michelle Karamon and Anna Brunner have also been helping at the ICL events as player-coaches. Jeana Billings continues with XP8 and XPG4 both, while running the Indoor... (more)
News Article Did you know that Paraclete XP8 add three former Golden Knights to their lineup?
posted: Dec 2nd, 2022 The national 8-way teams of the United States have been dominating the competition in this event since the current format for FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving was introduced in 1985. The U.S.A. is the only country in the world that has won medals at each event ever since. In fact, the question has always just been whether it would be gold or silver that the U.S. 8-way teams would bring back from the world championships. There has not been a set of bronze medals yet in the collection of the U.S. delegation. The dominance in this event was only interrupted between 2001 and 2010... (more)
News Article Did you know that teams from four different countries were in the Top 5 at the ISR Grand Prix?
posted: Nov 30th, 2022 The NSL News pointed out with the first update of the ISR Grand Prix 2022 that the teams in the first two places, Out Of The Blue from the Netherlands, and HF Flying Circus from the Czech Republic, were actually facing additional pressure from the two teams behind them. Dutch team Chaotic Motion and Falco from Belgium were within striking distance throughout all eight rounds, as the highscores for each round are showing. All four teams on the top of the leaderboard shared all highscores one way or another. The ISR Grand Prix has been an international 4-way competition since it was launched... (more)
News Article Did you know that Dutch and Czech teams share the 4-way passion?
posted: Nov 30th, 2022 The special relationship between the national 4-way teams from the Netherlands (Out Of The Blue) and the Czech Republic (HF Flying Circus) caught the attention of the NSL News several years ago. The update on 6 July 2019 pointed out that the same two teams shared an outdoor leaderboard for the first time, after attending four indoor events together since November 2017. HF Flying Circus had won all of them, including the FAI Indoor World Championship 2019 at Weembi Lille, with close finishing positions most of the times. It has been the reverse situation at outdoor events where the Dutch team... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Moravian teams have a third indoor option?
posted: Nov 29th, 2022 The NSL News mentioned during earlier coverage of the Czech Tunnel League and Indoor Cloud League events at the Hurricane Factory that not all training camps of the 4-way junior teams take place in Prague. Czechoslovakia used to be spread out widely from west to east before the country split up into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993. Both countries now have Hurricane Factory windtunnels, one in Prague, the other one in Tatralandia, host of the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023. Indoor fliers in the eastern region of the Czech Republic (Moravia) have a third option that reduces their... (more)
News Article Did you know that Echochamber won the national indoor championships with the original 2016 lineup?
posted: Nov 28th, 2022 The next national team that competed at the FAI Outdoor World Meet last month and then made a quick transition to indoor competition was Echochamber Oceanside from Sweden. The country's national indoor championships took place less than a month after Round 10 in Eloy. Echochamber had to make a few adjustments in the lineup, as Ann-Marie Jarzebowski was heading back to Australia after the outdoor world meet, and Mattias Nord had planned a trip to France. Result of the situation before the national indoor championship was a reunion of the original Echochamber lineup of 2016. Martin Backlin... (more)
