News Article Did you know that Skydive Midwest NEXT resume Indoor Cloud League activities this month?
posted: Jul 13th, 2022 Skydive Midwest NEXT was the only AAA Class team at the SDC Cloud Games, and they used the great opportunity of a competition draw with a Super Sequence in Round 6 (A,P,N,G,F) to finish with a new team record average. NEXT actually have a 19.8 average in the team records, which they had posted at the Shamrock Showdown 2021. The competition draw for the event at Skydive City in March last year also included a Super Sequence in Round 2 (Q,K,D,H,L) and allowed the boosted meet average in an even easier way. The weather allowed only the completion of four rounds, and the Super Sequence had an... (more)

posted: Jul 12th, 2022 The pursuit of winning gold medals at FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving in 4-way and 8-way both has been an ongoing topic for the NSL News since French national coach Mathieu Bernier mastered this special challenge in Menzelinsk 2010. He is still the only FS competitor in the history of the sport since 1985 with gold medals in both disciplines at the same event. The attempts began very early, the first one at the second world meet after the introduction of the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Ayro and Falco pushed each other to new team record averages?
posted: Jul 11th, 2022 The annual Tomscat Trophy in the Netherlands usually features Dutch and Belgian 4-way teams on the leaderboard. In fact, four Belgian teams competed at the last Tomscat Trophy before the corona virus crisis in July 2019, including Ayro and Falco. Falco had also won the Tomscat Trophy in the AA Class competition of 2017, and they moved up to the AAA Class in 2018, still with Andy Pieters in the original lineup, who had launched the team project with the 1st place in the AA Class at the Tomscat Tropht 2017. Paul Hofstee replaced Andy Pieters in 2019 for a year, before he joined the German national... (more)
News Article Did you know that three Airspeed members could have joined Mathieu Bernier this year?
posted: Jul 9th, 2022 There was another aspect in the many topics that the NSL Live Talk with Arizona Airspeed's Niklas Hemlin included on June 15th. It was touched at the end of the conversation and was not related to the previous topics of his position as a competitor and coach. It was more a personal question that went back to a recent crossroad and a decision that he had to make. In fact, he was not alone in a situation where the Airspeed members were setting up the plans for the near future. Mikhail Markine, who is actually Airspeed senior member together with Niklas Hemlin, was in the same situation. Niklas... (more)
News Article Did you know that Anion Flux XP interfered with the Dutch AA Class order?
posted: Jul 8th, 2022 The Tomscat Trophy 2022 did not offer any exciting battle for the top spots in the three categories. Lux won the AAA Class competition easily in the absence of the Dutch national 4-way team Out OF The Blue, and Chaotic Motion's modified VIXX lineup had signed up for the AA Class, where they had no opposition. The two new teams in the A Class did not hurt each other throughout the ten rounds, with Crepuscular Effect in the 1st place. However, a closer look at the AA Class leaderboard is actually showing a fierce battle for the medal positions behind Chaotic Motion VIXX. Two more new Dutch... (more)
News Article Did you know that Brazil's Netunos followed the Airspeed CISM example?
posted: Jul 8th, 2022 The 2022 CISM military world championships received more attention this year than ever before, not only due to the fact that CISM winners NMP PCH HayaBusa and silver medalists Qatar Tigers are medal contenders for the FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving in October, as well. In fact, HayaBusa and Tigers are the defending FAI medalists of the 1st and 3rd place at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020. The NSL News coverage became even more extensive when Arizona Airspeed joined the CISM competition remotely and for training purposes by performing the same eight CISM sequences in training on their...
