posted: Feb 15th, 2022 The NSL News posted an update from Germany a few days ago, which explained the changes in the lineup of the national 8-way team, Airbus Oceanside Illertissen. Team captain Thomas Spielvogel confirmed the information and had additional news. The story also provided a brief overview of the recent events and of the other German national teams. Nothing has changed in 4-way Open, while the situation in 4-way Women has been a little bit more complicated. Three different teams have been competing for the two slots as the national teams at FAI/ISC indoor and outdoor events. The outdoor situation... (more)

posted: Feb 14th, 2022 Craig Girard's recent move to take the last slot of the new XP8 lineup for the 2022 world meet season was covered comprehensively by the NSL News, first after team captain Kirk Verner's update on February 4th, then with a follow-up story on a few days later. Both reigning 4-way champions of 2019, Oceanside AtomiX in 4-way Open and Skynamite in 4-way Women, lost their titles at the German Outdoor Nationals 2021. There were no national championships in 2020, and the new champions and national teams were the winners of last year's event. The complete German Formation Skydiving delegation also canceled the participation at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 in August last year, and the national championships in September were a fresh start, which generated the... The USPA Nationals 2012 would be next in order, and the event happens to have several other connections to current events. The number of guest teams alone was extraordinary. The hosts and owners of SkyVenture New Hampshire, Laurie and Rob Greer, had still welcomed 36 4-way teams to the previous edition in January 2020, together with their event manager Ben Liston. It was not even an extraordinary participation in 2020. The event has drawn more than 40 teams regularly over the years, 41 in 2019, 42 in 2016. However, the last event in January 2020 happened just at the beginning of the worldwide crisis, and the SkyVenture New Hampshire Indoor... (more)
