Did you know that participation of all-male 4-way lineups is the most consistent one? posted: May 14th, 2025 The NSL News aftermath of the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025 continues with the closer look at the participation of 4-way teams with different gender proportions in the lineups. Formation Skydiving competition is obviously bringing different genders and ages together in the teams, who still perform the same sequences.
There are three different gender categories in the two horizontal 4-way formation skydiving competition events, 4-way Open and 4-way Women. The 4-way Open Class allows male and female competitors in the same lineup, while only female competitors are eligible for the 4-way Women... (more)
Did you know that Tom Mattoni's 4-way junior team mate Cameron Malie replaces David Ricard? posted: May 13th, 2025 David Ricard has been filming the French national team in 4-way Open since 2018, first Laurence Herve, Damien Gouriou, Kevin Mansion and Charles Rommel in Australia 2018, followed by Damien Gouriou, Alban Rumolo, Aurelien Lemaire and Kevin Mansion at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020.
He has spent the last three years with the current lineup of the Aethers (Damien Gouriou, Alban Rumolo, Tom Mattoni, Mathieu Quizy) who are now the reigning indoor world champions in 4-way Open and on their way to the next FAI outdoor gold medals. Did you know that DeLand's Hit Show launched the 2025 season with new team record numbers? posted: May 12th, 2025 The leaderboard of the Shamrock Showdown 2025 was still growing after the completion of the ten rounds at Skydive DeLand. The same week, teams of the Texas Skydiving League opened their outdoor season at Spaceland San Marcos.
The weather in Florida was much better than it was in Texas, as it allowed all ten rounds to be completed at the end of the second event day, including all teams in the three attended categories (AAA - AA - A). The same three categories will be applied at the USPA Nationals (Open/Advanced - Intermediate - Beginner), and all teams in DeLand could define their starting point... (more)
Did you know that Savolo won again in South Africa? posted: May 11th, 2025 Members of South African 4-way team Voodoo began to dominate South African 4-way competition between 2001 and 2012 just as much as DeLand Equanimity did in the preceding years, and before Solly Williams and Gary Smith took their team to Florida, won FAI bronze medals for South Africa in 1997, followed by gold medals with U.S. teams DeLand Majik (2004) and DeLand Fire (2006).
Voodoo members then represented South Africa in Australia 1999, Spain 2001, Gap 2003, Croatia 2004, Germany 2006, Maubeuge 2008, Russia 2010 and Dubai 2012, even though Vana and Dennis Parker had already taken their own... (more)
