Did You Know...

... that the Midwest Skydiving League had two winners last weekend?

SDC H.O.L.D. exit at Skydive Midwest
posted May 31st, 2014 - The new meet weekend is in full swing, and it includes the first meet of the newly launched Southern Skydiving League. New scores and videos for the Indoor Cloud League have also been added, and the leaderboard is increasing with numbers.

In the meantime, it is time for the last look at the previous meet weekend where the Rookie Class teams dominated, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 29 May 2014. NCSL team Last Minute won the 1st place in the Rookie Class quite clearly, while there was much tougher competition for the top position on the AA and A Class leaderboards.

All three leagues (Northern California, Midwest, Northern Plains) were represented in each of the three categories last weekend. The ranking order in the AA Class did not change at all, with only NCSL team Sparkle missing one of the six scheduled rounds.

Back from 2013: Plug It In Anywhere
Each of the teams in the first three AA Class places posted the scores at a different league location and won or tied at least one round.

SDC H.O.L.D. with player coach Mikhail Markine, Tail for SDC Rhythm XP, won by two points at Skydive Midwest.

Mikhail Markine said that he was very excited about his team's first NSL meet results. He trained with SDC H.O.L.D. at Paraclete XP in the spring and continues at Skydive Chicago this summer.

Plug It In Anywhere was the only NPSL team coming back from the 2013 season, while all other teams at Skydive Twin Cities were newly formed for the first meet of the 2014 season.

Winner in two categories: Midwest Skydiving League group
Another team from the Midwest Skydiving League finished on the top of the A Class, where the scores after four rounds determined the rankings on the overall leaderboard. However, the team averages on both leaderboards are showing that nothing would have changed with different numbers of completed rounds.

The top three rankings in the A Class were identical with the AA Class, with a Midwest team in 1st place, Northern California in 2nd and Northern Plains in 3rd place.

The spread of the A Class highscores was shared between four of the five teams in the A Class. NPSL team Four Locos posted the team's highest scores in the last two rounds and was actually only three points behind winner Hot Pink D-Bags (25 - 22) after six rounds, reducing the 8-point difference after Round 4 significantly at the end.
