News Article Did you know that Florida had a large Indoor Cloud League delegation at Paraclete?
posted: Feb 28th, 2018 Florida's Indoor Cloud League teams at iFLY Tampa and iFLY Orlando had each missed scores for one category in January, and organizer Amer Kassas was committed to change this for the next month. Both teams have their February scores and videos posted by now, and they cover all six categories. The iFLY Orlando team was missing the AAA Class number after the FSL Tunnel Kicker earlier this month. Emily Bombardi, Leslie Eggenberger, James Hall and Amer Kassas met in Orlando later to perform both Open Class sequences (AAA - AA). They filled the open slot for the AAA Class sequence and improved the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Hurricane Factory and Paraclete XP are tied on the ICL 14+ January leaderboard?
posted: Feb 4th, 2018 It does not happen very often that there is a major indoor event without any teams from the Czech Republic. The leaderboard of the Wind Games 2018 did not show any Czech teams, after a visit of HF Chicks and Bad Boys in Empuriabrava in 2015 and the HF Chicks again in 2017. This does not mean that the Czech teams did not recently compete. They had their Word Tunnel League meet with 13 teams, and 12 teams performed the January sequences of the Indoor Cloud League, as the NSL News reported on 31 January 2018. The next WTL meet is coming up at the Hurricane Factory this week. The NSL News... (more)
News Article Did you know that a Bad Boys/Flying Circus 2-2 combination tested the new 2019 blocks at the Hurricane Factory?
posted: Jan 31st, 2018 The Indoor Cloud League results on the last two 14+ leaderboards of the 2017 season were apparently alarming enough for the Czech ICL team at the Hurricane Factory in Prague. Paraclete XP had outscored the Czech team two times in November and December, after three other first places on the 14+ leaderboards of earlier months. Jan Klapka mobilized the highest number of Czech 4-way teams ever to perform the first six 2018 sequences in January. It was a fierce competition between the Czech teams to make it onto the ICL 14+ leaderboard for January, and only five of the 12 teams won the honor to... (more)
News Article Did you know that five Indoor Cloud League teams collected more than 1000 points in 2017?
posted: Jan 5th, 2018 The 14+ leaderboard for the December competition of the Indoor Cloud League is complete. The Florida Skydiving League team was the last one to submit scores and videos from iFLY Tampa, and the five lineups together collected 123 points for the second highest total last month. Each of the five lineups contributed to the December total, and Florida's Rookie Class lineups were the biggest point-getter this time. The RRR Class team had support from a guest who visited from the Midwest Skydiving League. Zac Armstrong competed at two MWSL meets this year with Rampage. He joined the team for the... (more)
News Article Did you know that learning happens outside of one's comfort zone?
posted: Jan 4th, 2018 The Florida and Northwest Skydiving Leagues launched the Indoor Cloud League in July 2012, and NWSL Director Deb Correia may have never missed an ICL event ever since. She and her husband Dave Correia were on vacation in December 2017 and could neither organize nor attend the ICL December event at iFLY Seattle. Deb Correia was prepared for the situation though, as she had worked together closely with the Seattle Swift members for a while and at many ICL events. Seattle Swift's Djordje Mandaric was once again available to help, and he offered to assist with the whole event organization this... (more)
News Article Did you know that Paraclete XP gained 27 more points on the Indoor Cloud League 14+ leaderboard for 2017?
posted: Jan 2nd, 2018 It did not take too long until the Paraclete XP team had a strong response to the latest Indoor Cloud League December scores from the Hurricane Factory. It was also not a big surprise that the U.S. team could quite easily take advantage of a weaker Czech performance for the last month of the 2017 season. However, the Hurricane Factory could afford not winning the December competition, due to a comfortable lead going into the last month of the year. HF Bad Boys and HF Flying Circus were still able to keep up with the strong Paraclete lineups for the AAA and AA Class sequences, while the higher... (more)
