Did you know that a mystery team from China dominated the AA Class competition on May 23? posted: Jun 8th, 2009 The NSL News goes back to the record meet weekend on May 23 - 24 where a total of 86 teams had their scores posted on the NSL leaderboard.
Seven teams of the Southern California Skydiving League competed in three different competition classes that weekend in Perris. Only the Rookie Class did not have any participation at all this time. The only SCSL Rookie Class team at the first meet in Elsinore, PACK'D, followed through with the team's plan to move up into the A Class at the next meet.

Did you know that Elsinore BTE had to swallow a 10-point deduction in Round 1? posted: Apr 29th, 2009 The NSL News introduced two new lineups of the Southern California Skydiving League already before the SCSL competition season had begun, PACK'D from San Diego on 13 April 2009, and Elsinore BTE from the home DZ of the season opener on 22 April 2009.
Both teams obviously attended the competition in Elsinore, and both teams finished in 1st place of their divisions with small fields on a weekend with two meets, one in Elsinore and the other one in South Carolina. Valentine's Meet, FSL Shamrock Showdown and World Challenge have already given the new competition season a lot of momentum, and the Florida Skydiving League even followed up with the second meet last weekend.
This weekend, two of the strongest leagues in the country, the Southern California Skydiving League and the Carolina Skydiving League, join the 2009 action and will add even more excitement to the great start.

The NSL News reported on 25 January 2007 that the Southwest Skydiving League split into the Southern California Skydiving League and the Arizona Skydiving League:
"The Southwest Skydiving League has finalized its schedule for the 2007 season. Actually, the new schedule includes only the events at the two major hosts in California, Skydive Elsinore and Perris Valley Skydiving. The Southwest Skydiving League will be split up and turns into one league in California and the other one in Arizona.

Did you know that Perris Jimani's 17-pointer was a new team record score? posted: Oct 13th, 2008 The new week begins with new videos of the California Skydiving League's September meet in Perris. The complete Round 3 is now available on NSL-TV. Perris Fury's competition jump with the fastest sequence of the competition (F,P,G,O,4) was already featured with the story on 17 September 2008, which covered the team's comeback after Chris Farina's back injury earlier this year.

Did you know that NSL-TV now features the complete Round 1 of the last SCSL meet? posted: Sep 23rd, 2008 The NSL News goes back to the previous meet weekend on September 13. The Southern California Skydiving League held the last meet of the 2008 season in Perris and welcomed a few teams from Northern California this time.
R4 and Kaleidoscope both attended their first meet this year and competed in the AA Class. Kaleidoscope, with Collin Bruce, Jim Dawson, Karl Secks and Matt Stephens, had a similar schedule in 2007. The CA team competed at the August meet of the Southern California Skydiving League before traveling to Illinois and the USPA Nationals 2007 in September. (more)
