News Article Did you know that Power Play begins with 4way?
posted: Jul 25th, 2012 Not only the Karp Cup of the MidAtlantic Skydiving League was weathered out last weekend. Golden Knight Laura Dickmeyer also reported that the Carolina Skydiving League fell victim to the weather situation on the east coast of the United States. The Southern California Skydiving League has not been much luckier during the complete first half of the 2012 season. Neither Skydive Elsinore nor Skydive Perris were able to pull off a successful meet so far. However, two more events are scheduled, and Dan BC expects the next one in Perris to bring back the west coast 4way magic. He recently announced... (more)
News Article Did you know that Southern California outscored Florida easily last weekend?
posted: Oct 1st, 2011 Five teams from Southern California competed together with four teams from Florida last weekend, while nine teams have launched this weekend's competition of the Northern Plains Skydiving League. The teams in Perris last weekend outscored the teams in Florida. The NPSL teams are alone this weekend, as no other meets are scheduled. The FSL teams at Skydive Miami last weekend had the A Class competition for themselves, while Teiwaz South and Miami Dropouts had to put up with the SCSL teams and had no chance. Perris Air Rush outscored Teiwaz South with a 13.5 average in the AAA Class, and... (more)
News Article Did you know that Skydivers follow their passion in Elsinore?
posted: Jul 23rd, 2011 A quick update from Brazil shows that the Golden Knights used the semifinal round to get closer to Germany. NSL News correspondent in Brazil, CTR Optimum member André Ferraz, added that Golden Knights and Germany have a jump-off round, which means that both teams must have been tied after the final Round 8. The scores for Round 8 are not officially posted yet and will be added later. The X-Dogs had to accept that Switzerland eventually took the 4th place. Switzerland has a strong lineup that won the bronze medals in 2010. It was a surprise that the Brazilian team was ahead of Switzerland for... (more)
News Article Did you know that Best of Relative is the TEAM of the WEEKEND?
posted: May 31st, 2011 Last weekend's leaderboard is complete with the teams who applied the same competition draw at Skydive Perris, Skydive City and in the Czech Republic. The scores of the 14 teams at the Z-Scrambles in Zephyrhills will be added as soon as possible on a separate leaderboard. Four of the five teams in the Czech Republic competed in the AAA Class, as a few moved up this year after competing in the AA Class last year. Czech League Director Jan Klapka reported that the weather did not allow any jumping on Saturday. However, five teams came back on Sunday and completed the six rounds. The NSL News... (more)
News Article Did you know that Elsinore launched a new 4-way season in Southern California and the Czech Republic a new windtunnel?
posted: Apr 8th, 2011 The season opener of the Southern California Skydiving League was scheduled much earlier this year and went by almost unnoticed. That's not a big surprise since last weekend's full attention was focused on the World Challenge 2011. Three teams competed at Skydive Elsinore and squeezed their names into the huge leaderboard of the biggest indoor competition in the world. All three teams can be found on the AA Class leaderboard or at the SCSL homepage. There is actually a fourth team from California on the same leaderboard. The NSL News reported earlier that Perris Jimani made the trip to Bedford.... (more)
News Article Did you know that Founding Fathers and Teiwaz synchronized their jump preparations?
posted: Jul 4th, 2010 The NSL News mentioned a special technique of the Founding Fathers' jump preparation in the story on 23 June 2010. It was actually an observation by meet judge Steve Miller who provided the meet story for the SCSL June meet: "Founding Fathers John Hamilton and Dan BC recruited Todd Hawkins from Eloy/Paraclete and 2008 world champion in the female category, Hanna Betts, with a promise of no creeping for the day." It was obviously coincidence that the same meet weekend featured two teams with the same technique for jump preparations, Founding Fathers on the west coast, Teiwaz on the east coast.... (more)
