News Article Did you know that six Texas Skydiving League teams completed the July leaderboard?
posted: Aug 4th, 2021 Six more teams from Texas completed the NSL July leaderboard, which is now featuring a total of 27 teams in the four NSL outdoor categories (AAA - AA - A - RRR). Two of the teams on the AAA Class leaderboard in July are actually national teams who will also compete for their countries at the upcoming FAI Tanay Mondial 2021. The AAA Class leader, British national team in 4-way Open Chimera, were planning to compete in Russia, as well. However, the British Formation Skydiving delegation withdrew from the event, as the NSL News reported on June 11th, and Chimera are now getting ready for the national... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Texas Skydiving League was launched in 1997?
posted: May 18th, 2021 Yesterday's Spaceland Toxix update, which covered the 2021 season opener of the Texas Skydiving League, reached quite far back in time, as far as Demo McDonnell and Rich Delgado at the beginnings of their 4-way careers. The same update also mentioned TSL Director Scott Latinis who was already quite far ahead with his own 4-way training and competition by then. He witnessed the start of the Texas Skydiving League by Joe Hazel in 1997, in the summer after the Florida Skydiving League was launched in 1996/1997. TSL team Convergence then represented their league at the first NSL Championship... (more)
News Article Did you know that Demo McDonnell and Rich Delgado have joined forces for Spaceland Toxic?
posted: May 17th, 2021 John "Demo" McDonnell's 4-way career story goes far back in the NSL News records. He is currently running the Spaceland Toxic 4-way project that he launched in 2012. He is still a member of the AA/Intermediate Class lineup, and Toxic won the most recent AA Class competition with eight teams from four different NSL league regions in the United States. His name appeared for the first time in the NSL News records when Team America competed for the Texas Skydiving League at the NSL Championship event of SkyQuest 2005. Team America had attended four meets of the TSL Rookie Class in 2005 before traveling... (more)
News Article Did you know that Scott Latinis wrapped up the Texas season opener?
posted: May 1st, 2021 The Texas Skydiving League 2021 season is off to a tremendous start. Meet #1 was hosted by Spaceland San Marcos. Due to the corona virus crisis, last year's event was postponed from April to August. Having the event in April this year was just another step back towards "normal". Eleven teams, spread across all four NSL divisions, were in attendance. This was the highest participation at any TSL meet since 2015. The days prior to the meet saw rain, rain, and more rain. Yet, Saturday was beautiful as if Mother Nature decided that she would reward such a great attendance with almost perfect... (more)
News Article Did you know that four Texas teams posted scores on the A Class leaderboard?
posted: Apr 27th, 2021 The official judging of the first four Shamrock Showdown Cloud rounds by Russia's Tanay 8-way team will be delayed until the weekend. The South African national championships are currently taking place as a live event, and the InTime judging panel will only be able to resume with the Shamrock Showdown Cloud once the event is over. In the meantime, the Texas Skydiving League has launched the 2021 season with another live event at Skydive San Marcos. The TSL 2021 season begins much earlier than last year when the three hosts (San Marcos - Houston - Dallas) restarted in August after the pandemic... (more)
News Article Did you know that Spaceland Toxic, Spaceland Thunder and Mom X S3 won the Texas Skydiving League 2020?
posted: Oct 16th, 2020 The Texas Skydiving League was probably the most successful organization in Formation Skydiving competition in mastering the 2020 season. TSL Director Scott Latinis managed to run the three events that he had planned for this year, despite the problems that the corona virus pandemic brought to the sport. He launched the 2020 season significantly later than usual, and the participation was still only slightly lower. He adjusted the schedule when the implications of the pandemic became obvious and started with the Spaceland San Marcos Showdown in August. He followed up with the Texas part of the... (more)
