Did you know that Sebastian Tempest members are responsible for this weekend's competition draw? posted: May 23rd, 2009 The videos of Rounds 5 and 6 of the Florida Skydiving League meet last weekend in Sebastian wrap up the coverage of this event. The first four rounds were already part of the NSL News stories on 16 May 2009 and 18 May 2009.
The FSL Rookie Class teams caught most of the attention, and the only AAA Class team in Sebastian, home team Tempest, posted a 13.8 average almost unnoticed. By the way: the teams of the Colorado Skydiving League have now been added to last weekend's leaderboard, as well, and another Rookie Class team joined the competition.

Did you know that one single point made a big difference in Sebastian? posted: May 18th, 2009 The videos of the first two rounds at the May meet of the Florida Skydiving League in Sebastian were already uploaded on Saturday. Rounds 3 and 4 are now available on NSL YouTube TV, as well. The new videos come along with a photo gallery of the competition day at Skydive Sebastian.
There are usually many more photos of an event than only the ones which are embedded in the NSL News story. Whenever possible, the NSL News will now upload the other photos of any event, as well, as this brings the activities on competition site even closer to the on-line audience.

Did you know that the Rookie Class teams dominated the meet in Sebastian? posted: May 16th, 2009 The Rookie Class continues to gain momentum in the Florida Skydiving League. It was a small meet at Skydive Sebastian, as the summer season generally slows down the skydiving operation and training and competition in Florida. However, three Rookie Class teams showed up Saturday morning in Sebastian and set a new FL participation record in this category.
It was not just a local pickup team situation for the FSL meet on home turf. In fact, none of the three Rookie Class teams were from Sebastian. Last Minute and Team DiZaster both call Skydive City in Zephyrhills their home DZ. Miami Reyand visted... (more)
Did you know that 4-way teams from Z-Hills create momentum in Florida? posted: Apr 24th, 2009 Rounds five and six of the FSL April meet wrap up the NSL-TV coverage of the event. All competition jumps are now available for reviews on YouTube, as the videos are embedded in the related meet stories.
The April meet was the first competition for the new DiZturbia lineup from Skydive City in Z-Hills that the NSL News already introduced with the story on 15 April 2009. DiZturbia enjoyed the meet in DeLand despite the challenges of the AAA Class dive pool, as Center Inside Laura Song explained:

Did you know that the new Sebastian Tempest lineup had to master a tough competition draw? posted: Apr 21st, 2009 The NSL News story on 28 February 2009 had already reported a personnel change for Sebastian Tempest lineup. The team's Center Outside of 2008, Ari Perelman, did not continue with Tempest, and Gilles Dutrisac took his slot.
The same story mentioned that it would be a challenging situation for the new Tempest member, who moved up from a 12.1 average with FSC Wind Damaged in the AA Class to a 17-average level team in the AAA Class. The news story was posted before Sebastian Tempest competed for the first time with the new lineup at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2009.

Did you know that the teams from Denmark practiced Skyvan exits for their national championship? posted: Apr 18th, 2009 The 6-round competition in DeLand was completed early on Saturday. The two teams from Denmark, Sequence and Altius, will finish up with the remaining four rounds on Sunday, as they wanted to go through the whole dive pool for training purposes.
Altius had competed in the AA Class at the World Challenge 2009 and now moved up into the AAA Class where they will compete at Denmark's national championship this year. Sequence was in Bedford, as well, and the B-Team left the C-Team of the Danish project behind as it was expected.
