Did you know that the Georgia Skydiving League enjoys great support this year? posted: Apr 28th, 2010 The 2010 competition season began with several major events, which deserved and required a lot of attention by the NSL News. Other smaller events happened almost unnoticed, although those are the ones that have actually built the foundation of the national and international NSL Network.
One of the events earlier this year was the season opener of the Georgia Skydiving League at the beginning of April. Five teams competed in the AA Class at Skydive The Farm. This does not seem to be a lot, but it actually stands for a serious upswing in one of the oldest leagues in the USA.

The Farm Animals of the Georgia Skydiving League had to defend their top position of the first GSL 2009 meet against two other new A Class lineups at Skydive the Farm. The 1-point victory over Push on May 30 was already a very close race. It was not easier at all for the Farm Animals at the second meet.
This time, Partial Pink gave the Farm Animals an even tougher time. Former Mr. Pink member Mike Gruwell guided the challenger through the four rounds.

The story on January 18 did not even cover any team activities this year. It just provided a review of the history of the Georgia Skydiving League. Mr. Pink is a part of the GSL history, as the story explains.
However, the last time that Mr. Pink competed with a complete line-up was at the NSL Championship 2003. GSL co-founder Glen Hauenstein, Mike Gruwell, Jennifer Gruwell and Robert May won the NSL bronze medals at SkyQuest 2003 with a 12.2 average. DeLand Majik won the NSL Shugar... (more)
