Did you know that a new Evolution lineup will try to defend the Swedish championship this year? posted: Jan 12th, 2009 The NSL News reported on 27 December 2008 that the two top contenders from Sweden, Evolution and Blue Spirits, will probably continue their race for the national top spot in 2009.
A new update from Sweden now confirmed that both teams have made plans for the 2009 season. Lennart Vestbom, who represents the Swedish Parachuting Association and helps to coordinate the events in Sweden, provided the NSL News with the meet schedule for 2009 and added some team information.

Did you know that a much stronger Team Future will compete once again in both events? posted: Jan 12th, 2009 The NSL News story on 7 January 2009 provided the first preview of the World Challenge 2009 and introduced the AAA Class teams that were already registered by then.
The indoor competition at Bodyflight Bedford also includes the AA Class and Free Flying, as these three categories already combined for the World Challenge in 2008.
The event was launched in 2006 with only the 4-way AAA Class competition. Airspeed Odyssey won over Spa Hayabusa in 2006 and cashed in £4,000. The Belgian team won £2,000 and Sweden's team 42 won the bronze medals and £1,500. Additional £500 went to Italy for Fast... (more)
Did you know that Perris Fury wants to be the home team in 2010? posted: Jan 8th, 2009 The first preview of the World Challenge 2009 had one of the busiest top teams of the 2008 season it the lineup for the AAA Class competition at Bodyflight Bedford in April: Perris Fury. The silver medalist of the USPA Nationals 2008 had its busiest season in team history last year after attending seven different competitions, including two tunnel meets.

Did you know that the World Challenge 2009 will have the best field in the event's history? posted: Jan 7th, 2009 The NSL website has not officially transitioned yet into the new year. However, there is too much fresh information that needs to be delivered, so the NSL News will continue to report to the 2008 database and move the content to the correct location later. The already growing 2009 schedule will be posted as soon as the transition is complete.
There are a few exceptions though. The dates of three major events in 2009 have already been added at the bottom of the 2008 calendar of events: the Valentine's Meet, the FSL Shamrock Showdown and the World Challenge. These events are coming up so soon... (more)
Did you know that Satori has a new lineup? posted: Jan 5th, 2009 The NSL News reported on 19 January 2009 that Bodyflight Storm does not have any plans for the 2009 season.
The reigning 4-way world champion in the female category is also the British 4-way champion of the Open Class at the same time. The NSL News covered the race for the top spot in the United Kingdom between Storm and Satori last year with several stories.

Did you know that the NSL News wishes you a Happy New Year? posted: Dec 31st, 2008 The year 2008 is in its final hours, and a brief review of the 2008 skydiving season shows that Formation Skydiving competition had another great year in the history of the sport.
The NSL News story on 9 December 2008 already provided information and data of the progression in the past years. The 2008 season continued with the posititve trend.
The consistency of the progression was not even much affected by the economic downturn, first in the USA and then in many other countries. The end of the rope is probably not even reached so far, even though the whole world seems to have a lot of hope... (more)
