News Article Did you know that Carolina Ice got redemption at the NSL Championship 2004?
posted: Dec 6th, 2004 The 2004 season had been a good year for Carolina Ice before the team traveled to the west coast in early October to compete at the USPA Championship in Perris. It was the second year for Ice after Pete Langehans, John Patten, Kyle Rice and Bruce Travis formed the team for the Carolina Skydiving League 2003 season. The scores of the first year were consistent and went up through the league season (9.4 - 8.2 - 8.7 - 9.8 - 11.0 - 9.5). The Carolina Ice showing at the USPA Championship 2003 in Lake Wales was respectable with a 10.0 average and the eighth position. The same line-up with Robin Kellum... (more)
News Article Did you know that SkyQuest 2004 included the Fantasy Swoop competition?
posted: Dec 3rd, 2004 The NSL website usually covers only the Formation Skydiving competition events. However, the Fantasy Swoop at SkyQuest Florida has always been a high-caliber competition and happens right next to, or better below, the 4-way event of the NSL Championship at Fantasy of Flight. The swooping competition also has an interesting Formation Skydiving aspect with former Genesis/PD Blue members Shannon Pilcher and Ian Bobo participating on the very top level of the field. News Article Did you know that that GT Airlock won the A Class by one single point?
posted: Dec 2nd, 2004 The meet coverage of the NSL Championship 2004 begins with the A Class this time. GT Airlock represented the Georgia Skydiving League at Fantasy of Flight, FSC JAMMM from Lake Wales and Zero Tolerance Miami competed for the Florida Skydiving League. The A Class competition between GT Airlock and FSC JAMMM turned out to become the most exciting race of the whole 4-way event at the NSL Championship 2004. News Article Did you know that SkyQuest 2004 was once again a great success?
posted: Nov 29th, 2004 SkyQuest 2004 was the fourth time that the event was held at Fantasy of Flight, this year on November 18 - 21. It was also the fourth time that the NSL Championship was a part of SkyQuest. The NSL Championship was held for the first time in 1998 at Skydive DeLand between the three league champions from Georgia, Texas and Florida. The NSL Championship continued to be hosted by Skydive DeLand in 1999 and 2000. SkyVenture Orlando and the NSL moved the NSL Championship from DeLand to Fantasy of Flight when the owner of the theme park and museum in Polk City, Kermit Weeks, opened the Fantasy of Flight... News Article Did you know that the tension is high in DeLand?
posted: Nov 16th, 2004 Skydive DeLand is currently hosting teams that train for the competition at the NSL Championship 2004 this weekend. Arizona Blade, Punky Fish and the Danez share the DeLand training facilities to get ready for the last meet of the year, SkyQuest 2004 at Fantasy of Flight. The 4-way competition begins Friday afternoon, ten rounds are scheduled for the three-day event. Blade and Punky Fish know that both teams will probably have a close race and give each other a hard time all day long. News Article Did you know that Texas teams won the last SkyVenture tunnel time of the regular 2004 season?
posted: Nov 11th, 2004 The NSL SkyVenture Competition of the 2004 season is almost at its end. The teams of the Texas Skydiving League concluded the regular 2004 season on October 30. The last tunnel certificates before the NSL Championship 2004 went to Touch N Go for the first place in the AAA Class of the Texas Skydiving League. Six teams competed in the AAA Class that weekend at Skydive Spaceland and guaranteed 30 free SkyVenture tunnel minutes for Touch N Go. The AAA Class winner finished the 2004 season with the team's record average (8.5 - 9.0 - 9.0 - 9.8 - 13.7) and ended up far ahead of the TSL AAA Class field.... (more)
