Did you know that Kid Pink and Mr. Purple committed to the ultimate team last weekend?
posted: Oct 18th, 2004 The NSL audience may have noticed that the name of a 4-way team with one of the longest traditions in the country did not appear on any scoreboard this year. Mr. Pink from Georgia set the team priorities differently this year. The main team event took place last weekend near Atlanta. Jennifer Gruwell, alias Kid Pink and Glen Hauenstein, alias Mr. Purple, got married. Missing Pink scores in 2004 does not mean that the team has completely disbanded. Did you know that Arizona Blade and Elsinore Equinox will be treated like SSL champions at SkyQuest 2004?
posted: Oct 15th, 2004 The Grand Prize of the Southwest Skydiving League seems to become a very enjoyable award for the winner of the AAA Class, Arizona Blade, and of the AA Class, Elsinore Equinox. SSL Director Pamela Stevens recently explained to the two teams what to expect. The SSL Grand Prize goes to the winning teams of the two SSL classes over the whole season, and it includes sponsorship by the Southwest Skydiving League to compete at the NSL Championship at SkyQuest 2004 in Florida. posted: Oct 13th, 2004 The "post-season" continues for some of the celebreties in 4-way Formation Skydiving competition. Italy's Arianna de Benedetti of Sinapsi PD, who was recently featured at the NSL Profiles, traveled from Croatia to California and competed with Dr. Joel Shugar's guest team Optic Kurves in the Open Class at the USPA Nationals 2004. Lise Aune, former DeLand Norgies member and new Norwegian national coach, joined de Benedetti, Dr. Shugar and Scott Keeler for a complete Optic Kurves reunion. Did you know that SSL teams win Perris SkyVenture Cup and travel to the NSL Championship 2004?
posted: Oct 12th, 2004 In a presentation at Perris Valley Skydiving during the USPA Championship 2004, Southwest Skydiving League Director Pamela Stevens presented the "Perris SkyVenture Cup" to the league's AAA Class winning team, Arizona Blade. The Blade team members, Natasha Montgomery, Thomas Hughes, Mark Kirkby and Robert Healy Jr., accepted their trophy and will bring it back to their home drop zone, Skydive Arizona. The trophy, a large silver cup on a solid wood base engraved with the name of its sponsor Perris SkyVenture and a space for each yearly recipient, will remain on display at Skydive Arizona until it... Did you know that the NSL Championship at SkyQuest 2004 is next?
posted: Oct 8th, 2004 One championship event is over - the next one is coming up. The NSL Championship 2004 is scheduled for November 19 - 21 and will once again take place at Fantasy of Flight as a part of SkyQuest 2004. A total of 56 teams are eligible for this year's championship after attending the minimum of two meets of the regular 2004 season and the NSL Playoffs 2004. All these teams are listed below, according to the averages of the two season meets and the results at the playoffs. The defending champions receive NSL wild cards, this time including DeLand Majik. posted: Oct 6th, 2004 Arianna de Benedetti did not compete for the top rankings with the guest team Optic Kurves in Perris in the past days. However, the fun combination with Lise Aune and the new NSL Profile might have caught the attention of the valued NSL audience in Perris anyway. Dr. Joel Shugar put the line-up together once again, completed by long-time team mate Scott Keeler. The Omniskore camera caught the team dressed up for dinner action after the hard work...
