Did you know that the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 is in the works while the meet jumps of the Valentine's Meet are on the way? posted: Feb 22nd, 2005 The NSL News has received several messages asking what happened to NSL-TV of the Valentine's Meet. The good news is the fact that the footage is on the way to the NSL-TV studios in DeLand. The delivery of the jumps was well planned. However, the shipping of the meet DVD fell through the cracks in the heat of the battle in Arizona. The first meet jumps will be uploaded as soon as possible. The NSL apologizes for the delay. (more)
Did you know that there will be tougher competition in the Women's Class for the U.S. tickets to Germany? posted: Feb 20th, 2005 Team Synchronicity has been dominating the USPA competition in the relatively undefined female category in the past years. The Women's Class was officially added as an IPC world meet category in Spain 2001. Four all-female teams already competed at the world meet 1999 in Australia. However, it was only a test meet by then, called the "Women's Cup". No U.S. team was present in Corona, Australia, in 1999.
The "Women's Cup" was held again, this time as a part of the World Cup 2000 in Eloy, Arizona. Five teams attended this event, two of the five teams were from Russia. It was also the first competition... (more)
Did you know that a German veteran competitor sees "clearly presented" as a "fuzzy definition"? posted: Feb 18th, 2005 The NSL News still continues to collect feedback as of the 2005 rule and dive pool changes. Craig Girad of Arizona Airspeed, John Hoover of the Golden Knights and former DeLand Majik member Joey Jones already expressed their opinions from the view of the top competitors in the country. Did you know that Skydive University's "The Search 2005" will conclude with the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005? posted: Feb 16th, 2005 Skydive University will be running it's popular event "The Search" from 12 - 18 March, 2005 at Skydive DeLand, FL. The event is aimed at newer skydivers who would like to immerse themselves in a high energy learning experience covering all aspects of skydiving training.
The event kicks off with canopy training from the Flight-1 team of Scott Miller and the PD Factory Team. Skydivers can then choose between Formation Skydiving or Freefly coaching. Formation skydivers participate in 20 coached skydives progressing from one-on-one to 4-way skills. The event ends the day before the FSL Shamrock... (more)
Did you know that Elsinore GT prepares for the 2005 season with a new line-up? posted: Feb 16th, 2005 The top contenders of the AAA Class competition in the U.S.A. have completed the team forming process. DeLand Majik was the last one to announce the line-up for the 2005 season. Additional team forming, change of line-ups and recruiting efforts have also taken place everywhere in the country between the end of the 2004 season and the beginning of the 2005 season, and it is still in progress. The NSL News will try to offer as much information as possible as of teams for this year's events.

Did you know that John Hoover of the Golden Knights provided the Valentine's meet story? posted: Feb 14th, 2005 The NSL News was not very patient in an effort to get first-hand information of the season opener at Skydive Arizona in Eloy. John Hoover, team captain of the Golden Knights, was one of the NSL News targets for an early update. Hoover has been a consistent provider of articles for the Skydiving Magazine, and he competed with his team at the SSL Valentine's Meet last weekend. The meet was barely completed when Hoover was already contacted by the NSL News with a request for a meet story.
