Tomorrow the NSL News will report an SDC Rhythm XP training day live from Sebastian, which also leads back to the grassroot level at the same time. News Article Did you know that NSL News visited the Falling Gators in Palatka?
posted: Jan 16th, 2011 The NSL News switches from the very top level of world class 4-way competition at the Dubai Championship 2011 to the place where even the best competitors on the planet and all world champions have actually come from - the grassroot level. In fact, one of the current shooting stars in the 4-way world, 21-year old Dennis Praet of the Belgian national team NMP-PCH Hayabusa, has only been in the sport for four years. He can probably still remember best how it felt when he had just learned to control the parachute and then the freefall. Most of the members of the Falling Gators skydiving club... (more)
News Article Did you know that NMP-PCH Hayabusa summarized Dubai 2011?
posted: Jan 15th, 2011 The only things left to do for NMP-PCH Hayabusa at the Dubai Championship 2011 are enjoying the award ceremony and putting the $20,000 to a safe place. Both probably come in a package. It combines for a nice finish of the trip to Dubai. However, other things have been and are more important for the Belgian national team. They know that this event was just the first step in a 2-year project, and they have the next stpes in mind after finishing in Dubai. The NSL News spoke with Mark Kirkby of the new Arizona Airspeed lineup after Round 8 was completed, and his feedback will soon be added the... (more)
News Article Did you know that NMP-PCH Hayabusa's Round 8 was not even perfect?
posted: Jan 14th, 2011 All scores are posted at the Dubai Championship 2011, and NMP-PCH Hayabuswa is still on top of the leaderboard. This will not change, at least not until March when the Shamrock Showdown 2011 will bring all the top teams back together again. The French Aerodyne Cypres/Deep Blue 7-way eventually carried home the 1st place in the female category quite easily and wins once again the $20,000 for the 1st place. The US pickup team Alpha Armada surely did not make the trip for nothing. The 2nd place is still rewarded with $15,000 cash. The NSL News will surely follow up with a lot of stories covering... News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed says farewell after Round 8?
posted: Jan 14th, 2011 Round 8 has been completed at the Dubai Championship 2011, and the teams have witnessed the live judging. Arizona Airspeed's Andy Delk does not think that his team pulled it out this time: "Just landed from round 8. We had a slow start with a rough first block 8. The rest of the jump went fairly well. We needed an exceptional jump to pull from behind so I don't think much will have changed on the leader board but we'll have to see what the judges think." It was the last competition jump for Arizona Airspeed with Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard and Andy Delk, and they also had a few farewell... (more)
News Article Did you know that the new Airspeed lineup is impressed with the Belgian performance?
posted: Jan 13th, 2011 It seems to be time for the final countdown at the Dubai Championship 2011. The winds have slowed down more than enough on Friday morning, and the scores of Round 8 will hopefully be posted today. The latest results of the NSL Poll for the Open Class competition clearly show that the majority of the voting audience sees Aerodyne Aerokart, the new French national team, as the top favorite for winning the meet and the $20,000 for the 1st place. NMP-PCH Hayabusa, tied with France in 1st place after seven rounds, has worked out a significant lead over Arizona Airspeed. It is quite unusual that... (more)
