News Article Did you know that NMP-PCH Hayabusa has a new young Point for the next two years?
posted: Sep 17th, 2010 The combination of an update from Belgium and yesterday's headline caused the NSL News to research once again the time period of Arizona Airspeed's 4-year team history with the lineup at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 and at the USPA Nationals 2010. By the way: Airspeed has added the 10-way gold medals to this year's collection, as well. Yesterday's story pointed out that only one team, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, ever defeated this Airspeed lineup at an outdoor competition, and it happened only once at the World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk. The new 4-way world champions from... (more)
News Article Did you know that Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge is the only team that ever defeated Airspeed at an outdoor meet?
posted: Sep 16th, 2010 The NSL News goes back to the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 while Arizona Airspeed collects additional USPA medals at the USPA Nationals 2010. The 16-way title is also going to Arizona, as it has in the past years since 2004. Earlier follow up stories of the World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk included the competition videos of the Top 6 teams in the Open Class, Rounds 1 and 2 on 21 August 2010, Rounds 3 and 4 on 31 August 2010. NSL-TV now continues with the videos of Rounds 5 and 6. The new videos once again include those of the new French 4-way world champion, Aerodyne Cypres... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed's 1997 - 2010 winning streak may be in jeopardy next year?
posted: Sep 15th, 2010 The 4-way and 8-way meets at the USPA Nationals 2010 are over, and there were no serious upsets or big surprises in the Open Class category, not even in the Advanced or Intermediate Class of both events. It was still remarkable in the 8-way Open Class that Perris Moxie ended up two points ahead of Dallas Rogue. However, the USPA Nationals 2010 brought big changes on the very top of the leaderboards in both events. The 4-way and 8-way competition in the USA may look very different from here on. The NSL News mentioned earlier that Arizona Airspeed will not continue with the same 4-way lineup.... (more)
News Article Did you know that the ESL Spirit returns to the same country for the first time in ESL Championship history?
posted: Sep 14th, 2010 The 4-way and 8-way events at the USPA Nationals 2010 both came to conclusions early. The 4-way competition was on schedule and completed on Sunday afternoon. The 8-way teams were even faster and did all ten rounds in record time. The nine Open Class teams completed the whole meet on one day, while the Intermediate Class teams had to show up for one or two more rounds this morning. Meet Director Coach Bill Wenger decided to push the pace since bad weather was looming ahead. The 16-way and 10-way events are still to come at Skydive Chicago. The ESL Championship 2010 was concluded on Saturday... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights may win back USPA 8-way gold after 11 years?
posted: Sep 13th, 2010 It was in September 1999, more than a decade ago, when the Golden Knights won their last gold medals at the USPA Nationals. Three hurricanes were lined up over the Atlantic Ocean to hit Florida and to make life miserable for the teams and competitors in Sebastian. The Golden Knights were best prepared and won by two points over Airspeed (213 - 211). However, Arizona Airspeed had already taken over the 8-way competition in the USA after winning the USPA Nationals in 1998 and was the US national 8-way team for the World Meet 1999 in Australia. The USPA Nationals 1999 in Sebastian were scheduled... (more)
News Article Did you know that NSL CamScore TV now features Airspeed's comeback in Round 5 and 6?
posted: Sep 13th, 2010 Arizona Airspeed did it again at the USPA Nationals 2010. The downside of the meet in Round 3 and Round 4 was digested easily, and the rest of the 4-way Open Class competition was under Airspeed control. Perris Fury won Round 10 and had to settle with the 2nd place, which is the next step up after bronze medals last year. The Golden Knights Gold lineup won the bronze medals this year. Carolina Turbo XP had a good battle with Fallout in the Advanced Class and won by six points after ten rounds. It is the first time that the same team with the same lineup won the Intermediate Class, stepped up... (more)
