Did you know that DeLand PD Blue was going for a "three-peat" in 2000? posted: Feb 18th, 2010 The NSL News goes back in time once again, this time far back and all the way to the beginnings of the National Skydiving League. Recent discussions with some TV networks made it necessary to show some footage that was already available. This motivated the NSL News to feature a show for the NSL audience that was produced in 2000.
It was the third year of the National Skydiving League, which was founded in 1998. Teams in Florida, including the South African national team Equanimity (with Solly Williams and Gary Smith) and Sebastian XL, had started the new league system in the winter of 1996/1997.

Did you know that France has a very strong delegation at the World Challenge 2010? posted: Feb 17th, 2010 The French national teams in the 4-way Open Class, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, and in the female category, Aerokart Deep Blue, have officially completed their registration for the World Challenge 2010, as the list of teams on the event page shows. This means that it is a fact that the three medal winners of the Open Class at the World Meet 2008, Arizona Airspeed, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge and Hayabusa Defence, will have a rematch at the beginning of April in Bedford.
The same three teams competed already at the Dubai Championship in January, where the French team had to replace Mathieu Bernier... (more)
Did you know that Round 10 ate Airspeed for lunch?? posted: Feb 16th, 2010 The next part of the video clips that feature Arizona Airspeed's Round 10 at the Valentine's Meet 2010 begins where the last one had ended.
The teams have to ride a trailer truck to get to the boarding area at Skydive Arizona, and the NSL News camera joined the teams on the way. Airspeed added another dirtdive to the final preparations and then waited for the jump plane, together with the Dutch/Belgian team 4XTT.
There was another incidence that caused some trouble right before boarding the Twin Otter. Airspeed's Center Inside Andy Delk discovered that he had a serious problem with his bootie.... (more)
Did you know that the NSL-TV camera followed Airspeed on the path to Round 10? posted: Feb 15th, 2010 Arizona Airspeed's competition videos at the Valentine's Meet 2010 have already been uploaded with yesterday's story from Eloy. The NSL News continued to collect footage on the only day live at Skydive Arizona, due to the travel problems. After returning to the NSL office in DeLand it is time now to follow up with stories and footage.

Did you know that the sequence of Round 10 ended Airspeed's 20-point streak? posted: Feb 14th, 2010 It is time to catch up with the coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2010. It was a very challenging agenda for the NSL News due to the complications with the itinerary, as the previews of the event explained earlier.
The 6-round meet on Saturday was already completed when the NSL News arrived at Skydive Arizona, and posting the scores was all that could be done yesterday. The Sunday was mostly dedicated to collecting as much footage and information as possible of both days.

Did you know that Airspeed will eat the sequence of Round 10 for breakfast? posted: Feb 12th, 2010 The competition draw has been handed out at the Valentine's Meet 2010 in Eloy, and it has now also popped up on the NSL front page.
It is on the faster side, as two of the slower moves, Block 12 (Bundy - Bundy) and Block 14 (Bipole - Bipole), would only come in Round 11. The Valentine's Meet is scheduled for ten rounds in the AAA/Open Class competition. (more)
