Did you know that Rotor Out aims at the Top 10 at the World Meet in Russia? posted: Apr 30th, 2010 The NSL News story on 17 March 2010 covered the Australian Nationals 2010. Rotor Out defended the 2009 title successfully and will represent Australia this year at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010.
The same story mentioned the possibility that Rotor Out's Center Outside, Jens Goennemann, might now compete against his former German 8-way team mates of FSC Eisenach. Markus Bastuck, Dieter Schwarz, Jörn and Max Thiele, with Alexander Hau on camera, are still and again the 4-way lineup for Germany at the World Meet in Russia.
Jens Goennemann competed for Germany in 4-way and... (more)
Did you know that the NSL News features XL live in a record NSL Talk show? posted: Apr 29th, 2010 XL has been a well known team name for almost 15 years now. It has changed its meaning though. It was standing for British world class 4-way training and competition and a serious commitment of the team members. The name still reflects world class 4-way competition and the XL members are still very committed to 4-way competition. However, the name XL now appears only once a year at the World Challenge 2010.
The NSL News has explained the history of the team and introduced the members of the last XL lineup in 2003 several times and has looked at the team from all kind of different angles. The... (more)
Did you know that the Georgia Skydiving League enjoys great support this year? posted: Apr 28th, 2010 The 2010 competition season began with several major events, which deserved and required a lot of attention by the NSL News. Other smaller events happened almost unnoticed, although those are the ones that have actually built the foundation of the national and international NSL Network.
One of the events earlier this year was the season opener of the Georgia Skydiving League at the beginning of April. Five teams competed in the AA Class at Skydive The Farm. This does not seem to be a lot, but it actually stands for a serious upswing in one of the oldest leagues in the USA.
The Georgia Skydiving... (more)
Did you know that the World Challenge 2010 was wide open again after Round 9? posted: Apr 27th, 2010 The NSL News story on 24 April 2010 mentioned that the top contenders at the World Challenge 2010 needed help from Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge. It seemed after Round 8 as if the French national team was settling safely in 1st place.
Round 9 then brought the drama that makes 4-way competition in the year 2010 probably more exciting than ever before. One bad round can be costly and change the whole situation. The competition is so tight that everything seems to be possible.
It does not even take a real bad round, which can bring desaster. Arizona Airspeed, for example, was never able to recover... (more)
Did you know that Skydive Elsinore had a busy day on the SCSL season opener? posted: Apr 26th, 2010 With five competing teams, 105 tandems and 20+ AFF's happening, it was a busy day at Skydive Elsinore for the opening SCSL Meet of the season.
Graced with blue skies and perfect 75 degree skydiving weather, Elsinore was a fantastic host with the awards ceremony finished and the adult beverages flowing well before sunset.
With no AAA Class teams competing, the highlight of the day was in the A Class as the Royal Air Force Demo teams battled it out. Having learned the dive pool only two weeks ago and competing in their first ever 4-way meet, the 7.1 and 7.6 averages of these two teams were... (more)

The story on 20 January 2010 introduced the lineup in detail. The NSL News followed up on 14 April 2010 after the team's attendance at the World Challenge 2010 and before the April meet of the Florida Skydiving League.
The Norwegian teams have always received attention for many reasons. It is still impressive how the scarcely populated Scandinavian country produces very competitive and sometimes world class lineups year after year. In addition, the... (more)
