News Article Did you know that UK teams are looking at the World Cup 2009 participation?
posted: Jun 12th, 2009 The NSL News announced the FAI World Cup 2009 and the NSL News/Camscore coverage for the first time on 3 June 2009. The review of the leaderboard at the last World Cup 2007 in Russia shows that three of the 22 teams in the Open Class competed for the United Kingdom. Fusion, Damn Zebra and Inferno had their own UK race as a part of the international competition and placed right next to each other (17th, 18th, 19th). None of the three best UK teams of 2007, Bodyflight Storm, Team Elan and Aardvark Zulu, traveled to Russia just two weeks before the UK Nationals 2007. Fusion, the official UK... (more)
News Article Did you know that several FSL competitors could only observe the action at the May meet?
posted: Jun 11th, 2009 The NSL News has to go back one more time to the May meet of the Florida Skydiving League at Skydive Sebastian, just a little over a week before the next FSL meet takes place at Skydive City in Z-Hills. There were only four teams that actually signed up for the meet. However, a few other FSL competitors were also on site who did not manage to recruite a complete lineup for the meet in time. News Article Did you know that Mass Defiance member Ben Liston offers a virtual tunnel training camp?
posted: Jun 10th, 2009 Ben Liston, Mass Defiance's Center Inside and recently also Dallas Rogue 8-way member, has created a virtual tunnel training program that is now available for everybody who is interested in working on individual and team flying skills. He has combined the training program with a fund raising effort for the National Skydiving League, which has already created much needed and greatly appreciated donations to help keeping the NSL operation alive. News Article Did you know that the NSL website now has a Wind Tunnel league?
posted: Jun 10th, 2009 It was about time for the move, and the NSL website has a new league. The indoor competitions at different windtunnels have become very popular after years of using them as a great training tool for 4-way and recently even 8-way teams. By the nature of the environment, it is no surprise that most of the teams that compete at indoor meets are also posting scores at the traditional outdoor events. There are a few exceptions. News Article Did you know that Dallas Rogue members help their Fusion 8-way friends?
posted: Jun 9th, 2009 The NSL News story on 2 May 2009 introduced the new 8-way team from Skydive Dallas, Dallas Rogue. The lineup consists of Ron Hill, Jim Rees, Ben Liston, Brian Stephens, Scott Latinis, Rodney Cruce, Dave Burton and Ari Perelman. It is a group of very experienced and talented 4-way and 8-way competitors who will try this year to get as close as possible to the 8-way top contenders, Arizona Airspeed, Paraclete XP and Golden Knights. News Article Did you know that a mystery team from China dominated the AA Class competition on May 23?
posted: Jun 8th, 2009 The NSL News goes back to the record meet weekend on May 23 - 24 where a total of 86 teams had their scores posted on the NSL leaderboard. Seven teams of the Southern California Skydiving League competed in three different competition classes that weekend in Perris. Only the Rookie Class did not have any participation at all this time. The only SCSL Rookie Class team at the first meet in Elsinore, PACK'D, followed through with the team's plan to move up into the A Class at the next meet.
