Did you know that the Czech Rookie Class teams of 2007 will now compete in the AAA Class? posted: Dec 31st, 2009 It all began with five AAA Class teams in May 2005. Jan Klapka, passionate 4-way fan from the Czech Republic, decided that the 4-way teams in his country needed more competition fun. He joined the international NSL Network and launched the Czech Republic Skydiving League.
The participating teams of 2005 all came back next year, and a few more joined the Czech 4-way community. Then Jan Klapka added the Rookie Class for the 2007 season and focused on recruiting more 4-way teams and competitors at the grassroot level.
It was a very successful move for a country with a small skydiving community.... (more)
Did you know that bad weather in Texas kept the college 4-way teams on the ground so far? posted: Dec 30th, 2009 The NSL News story on 24 December 2009 mentioned USPA's 2009 Collegiate National Championships, which officially begun yesterday and take place at Skydive Spaceland, Texas, the host of the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships.
The 4-way competition has almost exactly the same start as at the USPA Nationals in October this year. Bad weather has kept the 14 teams on the ground so far. Five teams are registered for the Open Class competition and nine teams for the Advanced Class.

Did you know that the World Challenge 2010 list of teams is growing quickly? posted: Dec 29th, 2009 It did not take very long after Bodyflight Bedford's official announcement of the World Challenge 2010 that the registration process began with full strength. The NSL News already posted the first two previews on 1 December 2009 and on 20 December 2009, which did not relate to the registered teams by then.
The list of teams is already so colorful at this point in time that it is worthwhile taking a closer look at it. Did you know that Perris Fury had nine teams at the USPA Nationals 2009? posted: Dec 28th, 2009 A recent Perris Fury newsletter reminded the NSL News that the world class team from California was once again very active this year to prepare teams for the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships. The Fury team projects have recruited several new teams and competitors in the past years, and the same project was also very successful in 2009.
Christy Frikken (Perris Moxie), Chris Farina (Perris Stun), Josh Hall (Perris Cobra Kai) and Uli Stuewe (Perris Blue Ice) were coaching and jumping with four different 8-way teams at the USPA Nationals. Two of them competed in the Open Class and another... (more)
Did you know that the Top 3 of 2008 will compete in Dubai in January? posted: Dec 27th, 2009 Two of the the three medal winners of the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2008 in France, Arizona Airspeed and France Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, have continued with exactly the same lineups throughout the 2009 season. Hayabusa Defence has trained and competed with Waedong So for Luc Verstrepen after the last World Meet. All three teams continue with the 2009 lineups in 2010.
The three defending medal winners of 2008 met each other directly on a competition site only twice this year. Airspeed, Hayabusa and France all competed at the World Challenge 2009 in April and at the World Games... (more)
Did you know that Menzelinsk is promising to be a great host for the World Meet 2010? posted: Dec 26th, 2009 The basic information behind the newest logo and link on the NSL pages is actually not really new to the NSL audience. The NSL News announced already during the coverage of the FAI World Cup 2009 that there will be live coverage by NSL News and CamScore at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 in Russia.
The actual event pages for scores and the usual news services have not been set yet, as the 2010 season has not even begun. In fact, there is still plenty of time before the major event of the 2010 season will take place. However, the Russian host has now set up his own website... (more)
