News Article Did you know that the judging videos feature the Top 11 of the World Challenge 2010?
posted: Apr 7th, 2010 It is time for Round 1 at the World Challenge 2010. The NSL News story on 3 April 2010 already provided video footage of the meet opener. It was captured by the NSL-TV camera live from inside the tunnel chamber and showed some of the teams up close and in full action. By the way, the videos have not been available for Apple users, as many NSL News visitors mentioned. There was and is not a quick embedding solution, as the two computer giants still try to make it complicated for their "opponents" and the NSL is limited with technical and logistical resources. However, there is a link now on... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed was prepared for a different situation?
posted: Apr 6th, 2010 The last part of the NSL News live coverage of the World Challenge 2010 is the NSL Talk with Craig Girard. It took place before the French national team and winner of the meet, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, spent a few minutes in front of the NSL-TV camera. The interview with the French team was featured with yesterday's story. Craig Girard was in a completely new situation before the award ceremony began. He already knew that his team, the Arizona Airspeed 4-way world champions, would not even be on the stage when the four winners of the prize money would receive their checks. Airspeed was... (more)
News Article Did you know that that Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge prefers competing over training in the tunnel?
posted: Apr 5th, 2010 The NSL News will soon begin with the review of the World Challenge 2010 using all the competition videos that have not been available for the on-line audience so far. The videos that were uploaded during the coverage of the indoor competition at Bodyflight Bedford captured the competition action from the perspective of the observer in the flying chamber. The videos from the judging perspective will be next. NSL-TV still goes back two more times to the last day of the competition before the new videos will be used for more details of the competition. The award ceremony has always been a fun... (more)
News Article Did you know that that Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge is the World Challenge 2010 champion?
posted: Apr 4th, 2010 It's all said and done at the World Challenge 2010. The NSL TV videos of Round 10 have been uploaded, and the judges just finished their job, at least for the teams that made it into the finals. Nothing changed in Round 10, except that Perris Fury lost the "jump-off" with NMP-PCH Hayabusa after three penalties. Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge almost lost the 1-point lead on the Camscore split screen when DZ-TV featured live judging of the last round. The French team had a point deduction but still ended up tied with challenger XL in the last round. That was enough to win the meet. The NSL News chatted... (more)
News Article Did you know that the top four will probably get tighter again after Round 9?
posted: Apr 4th, 2010 The scores for Round 8 confirmed what the previous rounds and competitions already indicated. Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge increased the lead to four points with the second consecutive highscore in Round 8. The French team benefitted from a 2-point deduction that NMP-PCH Hayabusa had to swallow in the same round. XL lost two points, as well. It is still a very close race for all top positions between the same four teams, and everything is possible. The videos of Round 9 are already in the works, and they will show that France had a serious hickup in this very fast sequence. There is no doubt that... (more)
News Article Did you know that France takes control of the leaderboard in Bedford?
posted: Apr 4th, 2010 The French national 4-way team, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, has taken away the top spot from Perris Fury. However, only three points (222 - 219) separate the 1st place from the 4th place. Believe it or not, Arizona Airspeed is not a part of this race. The defending champion is another eight points behind in 5th place (211). France had another good one in Round 8 and seems to increase the lead. Mathieu Bernier, Guillaume Bernier, Julien Degen and Jeremie Rollet have have successfully added extraordinary tunnel skills to their repertoire. It becomes increasingly difficult for any team to win... (more)
