Challenged by former champion EADS and X-Ray Remscheid at the German Nationals 2009 Eisenach has delivered in each Round so far and topped the 4-way feature with a new German record, a 33-pointer in Round 5.
Former 4-way champion and national team EADS owned this record until today after scoring a 32-pointer at a previous Nuggets Cup in Germany. EADS scored 28 points in the same round this morning and had to watch how Eisenach used the fast sequence (B-C-17-E) to steal the highscore. The video... (more)
Did you know that Skylight Barkli has the lead in Russia? posted: Aug 4th, 2009 The national championships are also in full swing in Russia. The first two rounds have been completed, and Skylight Barkli has a surprising 2-point lead over Black Cat.
The three Sky Panthers with Leonid Kazinets benefitted from a 4-point deduction for Black Cat in Round 2.
Black Cat actually outscored Skylight Barkli by two points but did not show the first four formations clearly on camera. Skylight Barkli had two clean rounds.
Kaktus Hunter, the Russian shooting star team, lost four points in the same round - but for a different reason. The center points of the pieces crossed each other... (more)
Did you know that everything works well for the Chicas so far? posted: Aug 4th, 2009 Three rounds were completed at the German Nationals 2009, and the defending champion, FSC Eisenach-Paratec, has worked out a 3-point lead over X-Ray Remscheid and a 1-point difference to EADS. A stellar performance in Round 2 created the lead before the three top contenders were back on the same level in Round 3, where EADS won back one point with the sole highscore.
It is still as close a race as it was expected, and the two jumps on Wednesday morning will show if any of the teams will be able to create a significant advantage. The two fast sequences of Rounds 4 and 5 open the door for each... (more)

Two Russian teams, Extreme.RU and Black Cat, own the official world record for a single round, with 44-pointers scored at the Malevsky Cup 2006. Arizona Airspeed just tied this record at the World Games 2009. The Russian Sky Panthers placed 2nd at the same event and beat France Maubeuge and Hayabusa Defence in Taiwan.

Did you know that Russia and Germany kick off their national championships this week? posted: Aug 3rd, 2009 It's getting serious in Germany and Russia now where the national championships are about to begin. Both events have their competition draws tomorrow. The German teams made three official training jumps today. Information will flow in the next days. The updates from Russia will be more challenging, as there is no internet connection at the moment.
