posted: Nov 11th, 2008 The NSL News story on 7 November 2008 covered the impressive progression of Arizona Divewerkz, which recently culminated with a 19.0 average at the USPA Nationals 2008 and the unofficial title of the best "amateur team" in the USA. Another team name has been mentioned quite a few times, mostly whenever the NSL News covered the best "amateur teams" in the sport. Mass Defiance from New England actually still owns the highest meet average of the teams that can be considered weekend or amateur teams. posted: Nov 9th, 2008 The NSL News reported of the last open meeting with teams and competitors and IPC representatives during the coverage of the World Meet 2008. The story on 6 October 2008 focused on the freeze frame issue, which was discussed at the meeting. Two other main topics were on the agenda: the introduction of "half speed judging" and the event duration. "Half speed judging" has already been discussed for quite a while. News Article Did you know that Arizona Divewerkz won the amateur championship at the USPA Nationals 2008?
posted: Nov 7th, 2008 The NSL News mentioned the "amateur championship" as a part of the Open Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2008 a few times during the live coverage of the event from Eloy. It is always an interesting situation when the teams of three different categories actually apply the same AAA Class dive pool. USPA's Open and Advanced Class teams are separated by different leaderboards and have their own sets of medals. The "pro teams" or "full-time teams" - whatever the definition of this may be - compete together with "amateur" or "weekend teams" in the Open Class. The best "amateur teams" in the... (more)
News Article Did you know that the last three rounds of the French 8-way machine are now on NSL-TV?
posted: Nov 6th, 2008 The NSL News promised on 2 November 2008 that the last three rounds of the French 8-way team at the USPA Nationals 2008 would soon be added to the special NSL-TV page of this event. The videos have now been uploaded and can be reviewed at any time. (more)
News Article Did you know that CSC Rhythm XP is looking for a new Center Inside?
posted: Nov 5th, 2008 The gold medals in the Advanced Class at the USPA Nationals 2008 was a great achievement for CSC Rhythm XP. However, it was only a step on the way to more and better and faster. The Midwest Skydiving League team works on new plans for the 2009 season, and those plans include a personnel change. JaNette Lefkowitz (Center Outside), Steve Lefkowitz (Point) and Laurent Beaudouin (Tail) will have to replace Brian Ball, Rhythm's Center Inside of 2008. posted: Nov 3rd, 2008 Dan Brodsky Chenfeld, a.k.a. Dan BC by the NSL News audience, has already had his profile story posted at the NSL Profiles page for a long time, and it really deserves an update. However, the following years after the end of his profile story to date have been covered regularly by the NSL News. The coverage also included several interviews and recently even new competition videos of his pickup 4-way team at the USPA Nationals 2008, Performance Desired.
