posted: Sep 24th, 2009 The NSL News story on 23 September 2009 included the meet videos of Perris Fury at the September meet of the Texas Skydiving League and an update of the Spaceland Force XP situation little over three weeks before the start of the USPA Nationals 2009. The story mentioned that the Force is currently dealing with Gary Beyer's shoulder injury, which puts a questionmark behind his availability at the championships. Brian Johnson is currently training with the team as a substitute and may have to step in for the competition if Gary Beyer doesn't recover early enough. The Force members are trying... (more)
News Article Did you know that instant judging is one of the IPC goals?
posted: Sep 24th, 2009 As usual at IPC's 1st Category Events (World Cups, World Meets), the FAI World Cup 2009 included an open meeting for teams, competitors, coaches and offcials. The one in Prostejov was held after the judging of the last round was completed. Fiona McEachern, Chair of IPC's Formation Skydiving Competition Committee, was not present in the Czech Republic. Deputy Chair Trude Sviggum, IPC Delegate for Norway and former international 4-way competitor in the female category, conducted the meeting for the IPC Competition Committee. News Article Did you know that the Perris Fury videos show what happened in Texas?
posted: Sep 23rd, 2009 The Perris Fury scores from Texas needed another correction. The final and official score for Round 3 is 12 points. Fury completed 16 points in working time and lost four points due to video issues. Fury's Center Inside Chris Farina provided the meet videos and the exact breakdown of the numbers. The audience now has the opportunity to see what happended in each of the rounds. This does not include Round 1, of course, where Fury had to accept a Zero for a video that could not be judged. 18 points had to be deducted for formations or maneuvers that the event judge, Henry Butler, could not... News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP is not the only amateur team with a 19.7 average?
posted: Sep 22nd, 2009 The NSL News story on 18 September 2009 covered the September meet of the Midwest Skydiving League. MWSL Director Alan Butt had provided the meet report, which included the mention that MWSL team SDC Rhythm XP scored a new record average for an "amateur team": "The AAA Class featured two of the best teams in the history of Midwestern skydiving: SDC Rhythm XP and SDC Furies XP. Rhythm made MWSL history last meet by scoring a 37 in the elective round ten. Today they made NSL history by posting a 19.7 average, the highest score ever by a 'weekend' team. News Article Did you know that Karen Lewis is coming back on camera for Perris Fury?
posted: Sep 21st, 2009 Monday morning brings a few corrections and updates of the scores and information that was posted over the weekend. The scores and rankings of the Italian Nationals 2009 are all correct. However, two of the teams in medal positions were not eligible to win official Italian honors of the 2009 championships. Ex3mo, the team in 2nd place of the Open Class rankings, competed only as a guest team. The same counts for Sky Devils who placed 1st in Italy's A Class competition. News Article Did you know that the Virginia Parachute Council is hosting another 4-way recruiting event?
posted: Sep 20th, 2009 The Virginia Parachute Council will be hosting another 4-way Scrambles event at Skydive the Point in West Point VA on 3 October 2009. The event is targeted at skydivers of all skill levels interested in 4-way Formation Skydiving. Registration is FREE.
