Did you know that the DaneZ had to bring out the best to fend off Voluntas? posted: Jul 23rd, 2009 Arizona Airspeed had the headline on 15 July 2009, as the World Games 2009 were just about to begin in Taiwan. However, the story opened with an overview of this year's national championship in Denmark.
The DaneZ had once again successfully defended the 4-way title, even though they had already retired as Denmark's official national 4-way team after the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 in Germany. Voluntas is the new national A-Team and has shown great progression since the team was formed at the end of the 2008 season.
Voluntas started into the 2009 season with a 14.8 average... (more)
Did you know that the Georgia Skydiving League collected $550 for the Children's Miracle Network? posted: Jul 22nd, 2009 The NSL News is going back to the July 11 meet weekend, which was one of the busiest this year.
The Farm Animals of the Georgia Skydiving League had to defend their top position of the first GSL 2009 meet against two other new A Class lineups at Skydive the Farm. The 1-point victory over Push on May 30 was already a very close race. It was not easier at all for the Farm Animals at the second meet.

Both teams won a round by two points, tied... (more)
Did you know that the Chicagoland Skydiving Center has been hosting MWSL/NSL meets for 11 consecutive years? posted: Jul 22nd, 2009 The July meet of the Midwest Skydiving League 2009 season was definitely a case of quality over quantity. A lousy, but accurate, forecast kept participation at the year's first meet at Chicagoland Skydiving down.
In fact, a trend of unjumpable weather has plagued the Midwest all season. However, four teams, including AAA Class top team SDC Rhythm XP, came out to see if they could get some jumps in anyway.
In the end, each team was able to complete three rounds before the blue sky between the clouds also turned into more clouds. Each team still got the most out of the limited air time. SDC... (more)
Did you know that a scrambled leaderboard leaves only Airspeed in the same spot? posted: Jul 21st, 2009 The World Games 2009 are over, and Arizona Airspeed added another highscore for a round to the team's account. It doesn't count for the IPC records though, as it was posted at a different and later competition. The NSL News had provided details of the standing 44-point world record on 18 July 2009.
Airspeed's... (more)

Belgium's World Cup champions of 2007, Hayabusa Defence, have lost even more ground after sharing the highscore for Round 1 with Airspeed and then dropping out of... (more)
