posted: Jul 10th, 2006 The first scores of last weekend's events are posted, the Meet in Colorado was weathered out, and the NSL News is waiting for the missing scores and information from the Netherlands. This year's national championship was on the Dutch agenda last weekend, following the Tomscat Trophy 2006 three weeks ago. The Dutch national championship is usually not as well attended as the Tomscat Trophy, the largest 4-way event in the Netherlands. News Article Did you know that the 8-way fans can probably expect another 3-team horse race in Germany?
posted: Jul 8th, 2006 The 8-way scores of the Russian Nationals 2006 were posted on June 29, one day after the Russian 4-way scores had made it to the NSL leaderboard and then made the headline of the NSL News on July 5. All the attention to the impressive performance of Sky Panthers Barkli might have overshadowed the Russian 8-way scores. FAI judge Klaus Wellens was in Stupino for the 4-way and the 8-way event, and he was also in charge to set up the Omniskore judging system on site. News Article Did you know that the Karp Cup 2006 continues with the Cross Keys 4-way tradition?
posted: Jul 7th, 2006 The 4th annual Karp Cup 4-way competition is coming up on July 15, 2006, and the MidAtlantic Skydiving League will once again host the event at Cross Keys. The Karp Cup honors of former Jet Stream member Seth Karp who lost his life in a landing accident in 2002. The MidAtlantic Skydiving League and Freefall Adventures at Cross Keys joined forces in 2003 to create a larger East Coast 4-way event similar to the Shamrock Showdown of the Florida Skydiving League in DeLand and the Valentine's Meet of the Southwest Skydiving League in Eloy. News Article Did you know that the Fastrax website offers the "Brokeback Nose" movie?
posted: Jul 6th, 2006 It has been only four weeks since the NSL News reported painful news from the Fastrax headquarters. The NSL News story on June 7 included the link to a Fastrax video, which was available on the Fastrax website. The video showed a training jump where Doug Park's nose broke after a collision with Mark Kirkby's leg at the completion of Block 21 (Zig Zag - Marquis). The same story finished with the note that Niklas Hemlin was the next victim one week after the freefall accident. This time, the crime scene was the wind tunnel in Bedford. News Article Did you know that two Sky Panthers Barkli members are former 8-way world champions?
posted: Jul 5th, 2006 The NSL News on June 30 announced the record scores from Russia, which were posted the same day on the NSL website. Russian NSL fans had provided the information after the conclusion of the competition in Stupino, the hosting drop zone of the popular Malevsky Cup. (more)
News Article Did you know that the Swedish teams 42 and Spaï are still in a deadlock?
posted: Jul 4th, 2006 The two Swedish contenders for the tickets to the World Meet 2006 in Germany, Team 42 and Team Spa, are still in a deadlock. The decision who will represent Sweden at the World Meet 2006 has been postponed, and the race continues. Swedish league manager Lennart Vestbom updated the NSL News after last weekend's third competition this year. The scores were already posted a few days ago, however, the meaning of the latest Swedish results were unknown so far.
