News Article Did you know that teams from Austria present the sequences of last weekend's round one?
posted: Jun 27th, 2006 Most of last weekend's European scores were already provided by the league and meet directors on Sunday, while ESL manager Willy Boeykens had even posted results throughout the meet action on Saturday and Sunday. This time, the first meet videos are also coming from Europe. The Austrian teams Monkey Circus and Eclipse present the sequences of last weekend's first round of the competition. Monkey Circus represented Austria in the AAA/Open FAI Class and opened the competition with a 16-pointer for Q-L-20-18. News Article Did you know that it was Germany's turn to compete with the World Cup Soccer last weekend?
posted: Jun 26th, 2006 The previous 4-way meets in Great Britain on June 10 and in the Netherlands on June 17 already had their shares of indirect competition with the FIFA World Cup Soccer. Last Saturday, it was Germany's turn to deal with the combination of skydiving and soccer. Germany's Deutsche Sky Liga (DSL) had scheduled two events at two different locations in the north and the south of Germany, while the national soccer team played against the team from Sweden on Saturday afternoon. News Article Did you know that Colorado Skydiving League competitors recently produced a commercial clip?
posted: Jun 24th, 2006 2B Productions contacted the National Skydiving League in May looking for a few Colorado skydivers to act and jump in a promotional video being shot for RE/MAX. The National Skydiving League headquarters referred the producer to Colorado Skydiving League Director Travis Roth. Travis Roth now reported how things moved on after the contact was made: "When the producer contacted me, she had a lot of questions. I mentioned to her that one of my 'day jobs' is designing lighting systems for productions, and as it turned out we knew a lot of the same people in our professional lives." (more)
News Article Did you know that Dutch teams and competitors set several new records at the Tomscat Trophy 2006?
posted: Jun 22nd, 2006 The NSL News has mentioned last weekend's competition in the Netherlands, the Tomscat Trophy 2006, already quite a few times while waiting for more details of the event action. The NSL News preview on June 16 provided information what to expect of the competition in the Netherlands. The scores have already been posted for several days, the video of Infinity's Round 5 is available on NSL-TV, and the additional meet information now offers more insights. (more)
News Article Did you know that the Rookie Class competition has become a major factor of the Carolina Skydiving League?
posted: Jun 21st, 2006 The Rookie Class competition continues to be a major factor in the 2006 season of the Carolina Skydiving League. Three of the four teams that competed last weekend attended each of the three CASL meets this year, and the competition is still as exciting as it has been so far. Fast Fockers and Luckiest Guy in Raeford switched their positions once again after the four rounds at Carolina Sky Sports last weekend. Fast Fockers had won the first meet of the season in April over Luckiest Guy, and the Raeford team took the first place in the Rookie Class competition of the second CASL meet in May. (more)
News Article Did you know that new NSL-TV videos feature three teams from thre different countries?
posted: Jun 21st, 2006 The leaderboard of last weekend's competition is now complete. It was an extraordinary weekend since none of the eight meets was weathered out. The event sites were spread all over the US east coast, from Florida to New England, and also took place at three locations in Europe. Weather was still not a factor. 42 teams completed up to ten rounds (Sweden, Netherlands), and only the Rookie Class teams of the Carolina Skydiving League were finished after four rounds, which is normal CASL procedure.
