Did you know that the next SWSL Meet is April 3 at Skydive Arizona?
posted: Mar 2nd, 2004 The next SSL Meet is April 3 at Skydive Arizona. Remember, this is the last chance for teams to qualify for the league's Grand Prize. The Grand Prize will include a trophy to be kept at the home dz for the winning AAA team; and one qualifying team in each category will be sponsored by the league to compete in the NSL Championships at SkyQuest in Florida this fall. In order to qualify for the prize teams must compete in at least four meets including one meet at each venue. (more)
News Article Did you know that NMP PCH HayaBusa won the ESL Championship in their second year?
posted: Feb 16th, 2004 The coverage of the NSL Cloud Mondial 2020 begins on Monday with the 8-way competition, and the best 4-way teams in the world will follow up later next week. There is still enough time to add some more information of the reigning 4-way world champions and their challengers. NMP PCH HayaBusa has been the dominating indoor and outdoor 4-way team since 2014, and the NSL News is once again going back into the archives to explore the team's very beginnings. The recent update on October 21st included a preview of the 4-way regime change in Belgium in 2004. The story provided more information about... (more)
Did you know that Hayabusa challenges the defending champion in Belgium this year?
posted: Feb 16th, 2004 Today is a good opportunity to finish the Belgian story before the scores of the season opener in Eloy will arrive at the NSL headquarters and keep the NSL News busy. The story of the tough Belgium 4-way competition to be expected this year still misses the introduction of the challenger. The NSL News of February 9th covered the history of the Belgium 4-way competition and the situation of the defending champion, NMPV, the Belgium Army team. Team Hayabusa is getting ready to stop or at least interrupt the dominance of the current Belgian national team. The chances are better than ever before. Hayabusa... (more)
News Article Did you know that Denmark was aiming at 4-way gold medals in 2006?
posted: Feb 11th, 2004 It happens once in a while that FAI medals don't go to the three mighty Formation Skydiving powerhouses (United States, France, Russia) at the FAI world meets. NMP PCH HayaBusa, who have been dominating the 4-way event since 2014, are the best current example that a small country like Belgium can create these exceptions. Denmark did not win 4-way or 8-way gold, however, the national 4-way teams of 1993 (Team DK) and 1995 (Touché) won two sets of FAI bronze medals. Denmark's newly formed national team after the FAI World Meet 2003 had plans to copy the success, as Pete Allum explained in an... (more)
News Article Did you know that HayaBusa defeated NMP at the Belgian qualification in 2004?
posted: Feb 9th, 2004 HayaBusa and Airspeed are probably in another competition for the most popular words and names in the NSL News database. Both teams go farther back in time than the current NSL website, and Arizona Airspeed is even several years ahead of NMP PCH HayaBusa. The NSL News has been publishing interviews with Formation Skydiving celebrities that were recorded before SKYLEAGUE.COM was launched in 2003. There were also a few NSL News updates of these earliest days of online event and news coverage that were added into the database, and there will be plenty of more to come after all the early interviews... Did you know that the European Skydiving League continues to grow?
posted: Jan 30th, 2004 While the teams in the U.S.A. are only two weeks away from the first competition of the new year, the European Skydiving League will launch the 2004 season in April. NSL teams can already attend the Valentine's Meet 2004 at Skydive Arizona on February 14-15 that has now been included in the schedule of the Southwest Skydiving League. The Florida Skydiving League will be next on March 12-14 with the third version of the FSL Shamrock Showdown at Skydive DeLand. SSL and FSL will then hold their second season meet in April before the European Skydiving League will run its first 2004 competition... (more)
