News Article Did you know that the Virginia Parachute Council is back for the 2004 season?
posted: Apr 1st, 2004 After a very exciting and successful 2003 season, the VPC is happy to announce the start of the new VPC season 2004. The schedule has already been posted. Following, please find a few items of importance for the new season. In an effort to meet the NSL goal of synchronizing the competition draw with the other leagues in the country, the VPC competitions will begin on Saturdays. Meet synchronization means that the NSL headquarters delivers the competition draw for each weekend on Friday evening by posting it at the NSL website and communicating it with the league and meet directors. posted: Mar 25th, 2004 Hey everybody!   The 2004 season for the Indiana Skydiving League opens in just one week! If you all are as ready for this as I am, you have been anxious for the weather to break the rest of the way for a while now! This year the ISL will open the season with our 4way skills camp!     Not on a team? Not sure what skills it takes to fly good 4 way? Don't think you have the experience it takes? Did you know that the CaSL is welcoming a new League Director?
posted: Mar 25th, 2004 The Carolina Skydiving League has elected a new league director. Randy Garman will be running the meets for 2004. Welcome Randy! Former League Director Tony Thacker has decided to pursue other activities this year. We may even see Tony competing! Tony did a wonderful job leading our league to what it is today. Thank you Tony. News Article Did you know that the NSL News will cover the Malevsky Memorial World Cup 2004 on site?
posted: Mar 24th, 2004 The NSL News reported already earlier that the International Parachuting Commission (IPC) recently upgraded the Malevsky Memorial Cup to an "A Category" event. The official name of the 4-way and accuracy competition in Stupino, Russia, is now "IPC Anton Malevsky Memorial World Cup 2004". It is the official "2004 Open European Championship in Formation Skydiving" at the same time. The FSL Shamrock Showdown 2004 was the right time to think ahead of this exciting event at the end of June. Did you know that a new drop zone is hosting one of CaSL meets ths year?
posted: Mar 24th, 2004 We have a new dropzone hosting one of the meets this year. Skydive Coastal Carolinas has joined the league and is located in Long Beach, NC at the Brunswick County airport. News Article Did you know that the Genesis re-union at the Shamrock Showdown was rewarded with $500?
posted: Mar 23rd, 2004 The AAA Class competition of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2004 had much more to offer beside the world class race between DeLand Majik and Sinapsi PD. One of the special meet features was the Genesis/PD Blue re-union of the original 1995 line-up with Shannon Pilcher, Kyle Collins, Ian Bobo, David VanGreuningen and Eric Taylor. The team members had been looking forward to this event and enjoyed each single round. Pilcher and Bobo are still residents in DeLand, while VanGreuningen visited from California, Collins from Jacksonville in Florida and Taylor from Atlanta, Georgia. (more)
