Did you know that V-Max and Norgie Girls continue the battle?
posted: Sep 10th, 2003 The 4-way Women's event has turned into the tightest competition of all events at the World Meet. It was close from the very beginning between the Norgie Girls and V-Max. And it has also been a hot race for the third place between U.S.A., France and Italy. Norway seemed to have the control throughout the first five rounds of the meet until the exit Cat+Acc in round six stopped the dominant performance. Did you know that the story of round 7 in 4-way?
posted: Sep 10th, 2003 Round seven probably secured the Golden Knights' silver medal. The DeLand Norgies lost a point on the hill due to a non-judgeable formation and another two points after a penalty that was very difficult to detect. The judges needed very sharp eyes for this round since the pace of the top teams was very fast. While the Norgies might have lost all of their small chances for a silver medal, Italy's Sinapsi PD and U.K.'s Sebastian XL gained from Norway's bad luck and are back in touch with the third place. posted: Sep 10th, 2003 NSL NEWS: Solly, we are in the middle of the meet. Let’s go through all the events and begin with the 4-way Open event. How do you see the current situation? SOLLY WILLIAMS: I am not really surprised about anything I see. The positions are as expected. The top teams have only made two jumps; it is very early to say anything. Did you know that Airspeed took the lead in round 4?
posted: Sep 10th, 2003 It was a terrible start into the new competition day for France. No doubt, the double-gold challenge is now in serious jeopardy. The 8-way team fell even further behind in round four this morning. A brainlock at the very end of the sequence caused an incomplete first Accordian of Block 14. Each of the five judges caught the infringement instantly. The working time ended right after the mistake. But the damage was already done. France is now seven points behind the leader in 8-way. Did you know that the story of round 3 in 8-way?
posted: Sep 10th, 2003 Good news for the 8-way fans. The NSL News was able to upload some video files. Round two of the 8-way event can now be viewed with the jumps of France, U.S.A. and Russia. The quality is not that impressive since the moving pictures are still filmed off the large screen in the spectator area. However, it is possible to see enough and get the idea. Hopefully, some 4-way videos will follow later. (more)

Did you know that V-Max took control in round six?
posted: Sep 9th, 2003 The 4-way Women's event had the rattling noise in round six that the 4-way Open would have needed for more excitement. The Norgie Girls had major level problems with their Block 9 out the door and needed a good while to clean up the mess. Once they had the sequence under control, they were moving quickly and still posted 24 points in time. However, the damage was done, V-Max went through the sequence without any major issues and finished with 28 points in time. That was enough to take the lead by one point over the Norgie Girls. And the 4-way Women's event has become a tight competition again. (more)
