Did you know that a controversy over Block 12 ensued at the last TSL meet?
posted: Jun 28th, 2004 On June 19-20 at Skydive Dallas, the Texas Skydiving League had its second meet for the 2004 season. Eleven teams competed in three categories of 4-way on Saturday and four teams competed in a single category of 8-way on Sunday. On Saturday, there were six teams in the AAA Class, including five teams registered for the season and one guest team. There were another four teams in AA and one team in the Rookie Class. The weather was beautiful in the early Texas morning as the league director, Ryan Smith, the chief judge Sherry Schrimscher, and the DZ manager Joe Rekart briefed the competitors. (more)

Did you know that the Malevsky Cup is on a weather hold?
posted: Jun 28th, 2004 Teams and competitors in Stupino were surprised by completely different weather conditions Monday morning. Overcast skies and rain did not allow any skydiving. These conditions gave the teams the chance to get administrative chores out of the way and relax for the remainder of the morning. All teams, competitors and judges are accommodated at a hotel resort 20 minutes away from the drop zone. Meals are served for the whole Malevsky Cup crowd in a large dining room. Buses shuttle between the hotel and the drop zone in the mornings and evenings. The hotel resort and the modern and first-class facilities... (more)

Did you know that the judges study the fast sequences in Stupino?
posted: Jun 27th, 2004 Sunday, the 27th of June was not even the official training day of the IPC Anton Malevsky Memorial World Cup 2004 yet, however, the exciting meet atmosphere was already in the air and all over the competition site. Teams were training, the judges set up their work area, as well as the NSL News moved into the "NSL News Online" office. The Malevsky Cup organizers went out of their way to provide a working place for the NSL News that will allow the most comprehensive and up-to-date coverage of this event. Did you know that a new round of NSL-TV features SSL teams and AA Class team Soylent Greene?
posted: Jun 25th, 2004 There is still enough time for a quick update of the NSL-TV. Round four of the Southwest Skydiving League features ten teams of the May 1 meet in Peris. The footage of Perris Precision and Giftwrap was not available for this round. Elsinore GT introduces the sequence for this round. The Southwest Skydiving League just completed the fourth meet of the 2004 season last weekend. More and new footage will be available soon. Did you know that the SSL Meet at Skydive Elsinore Draws 16 Teams?
posted: Jun 25th, 2004 Skydive Elsinore was host to the Southwest Skydiving League’s fourth meet, which turned out to be the largest meet of the season. Sixteen teams participated including three A teams, five AA teams and eight AAA teams. Judging was provided by June “Bug” Urschel and Mary Beth Koolhaas, Both will be judging at the US Nationals (Bug will in fact be Chief Judge) this fall in Perris. DZO John Hamilton, League Director Pam Stevens and the judges addressed the large group of competitors at an 8:00 a.m. briefing. Did you know that last weekend's results of the NSL SkyVenture Competition are now posted?
posted: Jun 24th, 2004 The scoring table of the NSL SkyVenture Competition for the June 19 weekend is a record breaking monster. Scores of 71 teams had to be registered and calculated. Fortunately, and thanks to webmaster Craig Buxton, the new NSL website database includes a math feature that processes the scores, applies the handicap formula and creates the scoring overview automatically.
