News Article Did you know that the Great Lakes Skydiving League launched the 2004 season successfully?
posted: Jun 19th, 2004 The first GLSL meet of the season has demonstrated that 2004 is off to a good start for the serious competitors as well as the weekend “fun” teams. Five teams competed for bragging rights at AerOhio Skydiving Center in Rittman, Ohio. The two rookie teams, FKKR and Bon Voyage competed head to head, many times on the same aircraft load, trying desperately to “one up” each other. The spirit of friendly competition was evident among these two pick up teams! At the end, Bon Voyage was victorious, due largely in part to an exit induced goose egg by FKKR. News Article Did you know that last weekend's results of the NSL SkyVenture Competition have been posted?
posted: Jun 18th, 2004 The meet weekend of June 12 had a total of 28 teams competing in the four different NSL competition classes. Four leagues had scheduled their events for that weekend. Most of the teams from Florida and Carolina had already competed earlier this year, while the Northern Plains introduced a few new teams, and the Virginia Parachute Council launched their 2004 season with the first meet in Suffolk.The results of the NSL SkyVenture Competition were calculated after five rounds in the AAA, AA and A Classes, while the Rookie/Introductory Class teams completed only four rounds in Carolina. News Article Did you know that the jump ship in Croatia will still be the MI-8 helicopter?
posted: Jun 17th, 2004 National teams and competitors were recently worried by rumors that the organizers of this year's World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Croatia were considering to use different jump planes. The bid for the IPC event and earlier announcements by the host together with postings on the event's website had the Russian helicopter MI-8 as the aircraft for the world meet. Based on the first official announcements after a country won the IPC bid for the next world meet, the qualified teams make their training plans according to the chosen aircraft. News Article Did you know that the NSL-TV features a new round of the last Southwest Skydiving League meet?
posted: Jun 16th, 2004 The next meet of the Southwest Skydiving League is already coming up this weekend, while the NSL-TV coverage of the SSL May meet has not even been completed.There will be a lot of footage available when the 2004 season is in full swing. The NSL headquarters will do its best to be as up-to-date as it is possible for a well understaffed operation.Round three of the third SSL season meet is once again presented by Arizona Blade. The current top team of the Southwest Skydiving League shows an energetic and great performance, which left the rest of the field in the dust. (more)

posted: Jun 16th, 2004 The Northern Plains Skydiving League opened up the second meet Saturday morning with blues skies and no wind. The surf was up for the NPSL meet two at Skydive Twin Cities with three new teams joining the league. This again followed a week of thunderstorms even into Friday night. The three new teams beginning their seasons at this meet were Mind Crime and Fair ABBA in the AAA Class, plus Cockeyed in the AA Class.Mind Crime reunites from last year and competes once again in the AAA Class. News Article Did you know that the Russian Sky Panthers were only one point behind Sinapsi PD last year?
posted: Jun 15th, 2004 Last not least it is time to introduce the Russian teams that will compete at the IPC Anton Malevsky Memorial World Cup 2004 on their home turf. Ten Russian 4-way teams had signed up before the registration deadline of June 1st. The rules of the International Parachuting Commission (IPC) allow only a total of four teams to represent the same nation at the IPC World Cups. The Sky Panthers, Extreme.RU, Kolomna Quick Blue and Synairgy will officially compete for IPC medals in Stupino, while six other Russian teams are registered as guest teams. (more)
