Did you know that formation skydiving competition has a 40-year anniversary in 2025? posted: Jul 18th, 2025 The NSL News reported on June 12th that Skydive DeLand founder and owner Bob Hallet lost his life in a car crash on May 13th. The update on July 6th provided more information of the partnership with Tom Piras, who was his co-owner of Skydive DeLand when they launched their business operation in DeLand.
Tom Piras started the 4-way team DeLand Air Bears shortly after settling in Florida (Guy Manos, Joe Nepute, John Robbins, Norman Kent on camera), and they won the first FAI World Championship of 4-way Formation Skydiving after the current competition format was introduced.

Did you know that teams of the Northern California Skydiving League joined the July leaderboards? posted: Jul 16th, 2025 Four teams from Northern California joined the Czech and British teams on the July leaderboard. Lori Connor completed the second NCSL meet of the year successfully, after the first one was completely weathered out in June.
AA Class team Hair Speed, who plan to compete at the USPA Nationals this year, battled with the two Czech teams throughout the four completed rounds at Skydive California. British team Nakama was out of reach for all other teams on the AA Class leaderboard. Did you know that the British A Class situation promises exciting competition? posted: Jul 14th, 2025 The NSL News covered the AAA/AA Class competition of the United Kingdom Skydiving League at the third meet of this year in Netheravon with the update on July 7th. British Army Volt4ge (AAA) and Nakama shared their respective leaderboards with 4-way teams from the Czech Republic that weekend.
The same update pointed out that the competition draw for participating leagues and teams in the NSL 4-way Network usually creates overlapping sequences between the traditional four different categories, after a random draw for the AAA Class competition trickles down.

Did you know that Chop Chop! cover the longest travel distance this time? posted: Jul 13th, 2025 Australian 4-way teams have been some of the most reliable and consistent participants in horizontal formation skydiving world championships since 1985. In fact, the Australian FAI/ISC delegation missed only the two events that were hosted by Russia, in Menzelinsk 2010 and Tanay 2021,
4-way teams from Down Under usually travel to the outdoor world cups, as well. It was last time in Banja Luka 2013 when no Australian teams appeared on any of the four formation skydiving leaderboards. Did you know that iFLY Fort Lauderdale teams benefit from XP Angels training? posted: Jul 12th, 2025 Four of the five currently active Indoor Cloud League teams have submitted their scores and videos for the month of June, and Kyle Hermberg's team at iFLY Dallas will soon join the leaderboard. As usual, the current and former Czech 4-way juniors are out of reach so far. This time, only AAA Class team TNT does not fit into the Czech category of current or former Czech 4-way juniors.

Did you know that Thyra has joined the 4-way Women field at the FAI World Cup in Teuge? posted: Jul 10th, 2025 The field of teams in 4-way AAA/Women has grown to five after Norway registered their second team for the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025, Thyra. 4-way AAA/Open Class team Agera compete for Norway with the same lineup as in 2024, and they are expected to be once again in the competition for the Top 10 positions, possibly for the 4th place, as well.
