Did you know that Airbus 8-way is the top contender for European 8-way gold medals? posted: Jul 25th, 2025 The situation in 8-way Open and 4-way Women of the FAI European Championship 2025 is not as competitive as it is in 4-way Open for the bronze medal position.
Two 8-way teams from Great Britain are registered for the event. The first one, Cark8, will probably take the 2nd place and the FAI silver medals behind the German Airbus 8-way team who seem to be out of reach, even after a recent change in the lineup. Germany did not send an 8-way team to Norway in 2023, after winning FAI bronze medals at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022, then again last year at Crystal Coast. However, the Airbus... (more)

Did you know that 8-way teams are much closer to 4-way scores at indoor competition? posted: Jul 23rd, 2025 The relationship between 4-way and 8-way indoor scores is a very different one, compared to outdoor competition. It is also a very young one, as 4-way and 8-way competition happened to take place at the same indoor world championships only twice, due to the necessary additional space in the flying chamber. There are more than enough other factors that do not allow a direct comparison with the scoring numbers between 4-way and 8-way competition, indoors and outdoors. However, the records and statistics still tell a story in different areas than the actual scoring numbers.
The most basic difference... (more)
Did you know that iFLY Dallas posted the highest Indoor Cloud League AAA/AA total in team history? posted: Jul 21st, 2025 The June leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League is complete after Kyle Hermberg submitted the scores and videos of the iFLY Dallas team.
The total of 123 ICL points for June generated the closest distance that any team has come to the leader from the Czech Republic (128) this year. The AAA/AA... (more)

The review of the history was caused by the car crash death of Skydive DeLand's founder and owner Bob Hallet in May, whose original partner Tom Piras was a 4-way world champion with DeLand Air Bears in 1985 and died in 1992.
The most recent NSL News update included parts of a historic video production by freefall filming legend Norman Kent who featured... (more)
