This time, it is the 4-way Open Class that seemed to require a change, as well.
The previous NSL Power Rankings in 4-way Open had the most recent adjustment after NSL Live Talk with Gary Smith on August 6th. Did you know that Norway's Thyra have become the top contender for silver in Teuge? posted: Aug 11th, 2025 The unofficial NSL Power Rankings for the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 were recently adjusted after input during NSL Live Talk with Gary Smith. The changes included a split of the previously seven teams in pursuit of the precious 4th place, after the withdrawal of Qatar's 4-way teams Lions and Cheetahs.

Did you know that Christy Frikken and Dan BC visited Skydive Elsinore for the SCSL August meet? posted: Aug 9th, 2025 Seven teams showed up at Skydive Elsinore for the first meet of the Southern California Skydiving League in 2025. SCSL Director Christy Frikken, 4-way Open Class silver medalist with SDC Rhythm XP at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2021, said that "SCSL Elsinore ended up being quite a blast!"
She did not compete with any of the teams, while Airspeed legend Dan Brodsky-Chenfield visited from Skydive Perris, as well. He guided Perris Stunt Team as the player-coach through the 5-round battle for the 1st place on the AAA Class leaderboard.

Did you know that Sequenz won their 3rd consecutive outdoor championship in Denmark? posted: Aug 7th, 2025 Denmark's national 4-way team Sequenz and Hey Hallå have been sharing leaderboards at national outdoor championships since 2021, even though both teams have a longer history in 4-way formation skydiving competition. Sequenz was actually launched in 2007, and original member Ulrik Høgsberg is still in the current lineup.
The NSL News featured the Sequenz history with the update on 9 July 2021. It was the year when the Danish team won the national outdoor championship title for the first time. They lost it a year later against Denmark's CISM team and took it back in 2023 to keep it last year... (more)
Did you know that Qatar coach Gary Smith explained the current situation of Lions and Cheetahs? posted: Aug 6th, 2025 The NSL News mentioned in yesterday's update of the power rankings for the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 that the Qatar delegation had withdrawn the two 4-way teams, Lions and Cheetahs, from the 4-way Open Class competition. The Cheetahs were considered one of the top contenders for the position right behind the medal rankings.
The withdrawal came after a tragic landing accident of Lions member Salem Al Marri on July 21st during the last training camp. Gary Smith was coaching the Lions in Qatar when it happened, and he brought the sad news to the attention of the NSL News.

Did you know that the Netunos have registered for 8-way at the FAI Outdoor World Cup? posted: Aug 5th, 2025 Round 1 of the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 at Skydive Teuge in the Netherlands is only little over three weeks away (August 29th), and a new update has brought a few changes, which do not cause a heavy impact on the NSL Power Rankings..
However, the withdrawal of the two 4-way teams from Qatar, Lions and Cheetahs, reduce the number of 4-way Open Class teams to sixteen. Austria did not register the team that was on the first list, and Bripac from Spain are not joining Papea on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard.
