News Article Did you know that you can vote for Craig Girard in the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame?
posted: Oct 3rd, 2025 Craig Girard is the most successful competitor in the history of horizontal formation skydiving since 1985. He had won seven of his FAI gold medals at outdoor world championships when his NSL Profile was published in 2009. He had just added another 4-way gold medal in Maubeuge 2008, together with Airspeed Odyssey and his wife Eliana Rodriguez, and they were on their way to defend the title in Menzelinsk 2010. They ended up only in 2nd place behind the same French opponent as in 2008. However, he was already ahead of any other 4-way or 8-way world champions in the history of the sport at... (more)
News Article Did you know that 60-ways may create new Czech 4-way competitors?
posted: Oct 2nd, 2025 It was an unusual situation for Jan Klapka at the Hurricane Factory in Prague when he put together the scores and videos for his Indoor Cloud League team in September. It has not happened often in the past years that he had more 4-way seniors for the highscores on the Czech ICL leaderboard than 4-way juniors. As usual, Skywalkers Most contributed to the September total with the scoring numbers for the AAA/AA sequences. However, they are not 4-way juniors any longer, especially not after the performance at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025. The team members are former 4-way junior indoor world champions... (more)
News Article Did you know that Aethers Lille posted the team record average under the radar?
posted: Oct 2nd, 2025 The dominating French performance of Aethers Lille at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 was somehow almost taken for granted by teams, audience and media. The situation on the world's top level in horizontal 4-way competition reminds somehow on the time when Arizona Airspeed's previous lineup (Niklas Hemlin, Christopher Kuhlmann, Mikhail Markine, Joey Marshall) dominated between 2022 and 2024. The distance to the team in 2nd place at Skydive Teuge, the Golden Knights, was still almost as large as it was two years earlier at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023 in Norway, where Arizona Airspeed won by... News Article Did you know that German team PACE GoJump Gransee have won three times in three different categories?
posted: Sep 29th, 2025 The competition for the two AAA Class medal positions behind Airbus Illertissen Oceanside at Germany's national outdoor championship was as exciting as the NSL News reported in the preview of the event on September 9th. Three teams were expected to be in contention, and they confirmed the battle for medals in the four rounds that were completed at the event in the same order as the NSL Power Rankings indicated. The missing six rounds, including the Super Sequence in Round 8, would have probably continued this competition in a similar way. Pickup team Airmix, with the highly experienced 4-way... (more)
News Article Did you know that Midwest Skydiving League teams shared international leaderboards?
posted: Sep 28th, 2025 Other 4-way events took place, while outdoor world cup and other national championships received most of the NSL News attention. Two meets of the Midwest Skydiving League took place in August and September, and the scores of the MWSL teams were part of combined leaderboards. SDC Rhythm XP members share the management of the MWSL meets that are hosted by Skydive Chicago. CSC Constellation XP's Natalie Rodriguez and Russell Bayuk have been organizing events at Chicagoland Skydiving. MWSL season opener and the September meet took place on the Rhythm home turf, and the two AAA Class teams, QuadRhivium... (more)
News Article Did you know that mixed-gender lineups dominated again at the outdoor world cup?
posted: Sep 27th, 2025 The NSL News aftermath of FAI/ISC indoor and outdoor world championships and world cups has included the gender breakdown of all participating 4-way teams and competitors in horizontal formation skydiving competition in the past years for informational purposes. There are three different categories: all-male, all-female and mixed-gender lineups. All-male and mixed-gender lineups can only register for the 4-way Open Class competition. All-female lineups have the option to compete in 4-way Women or in 4-way Open. All 4-way teams apply the same competition draw. FAI/ISC medals will only be given to... (more)
