News Article Did you know that the Southern California Skydiving League has the top contender in the A Class?
posted: Oct 6th, 2021 Six teams of the Southern California Skydiving League visited Skydive Perris for the second SCSL meet of the 2021 season and added their scores to the September leaderboard. The AAA Class competition took place without Jerry and the Jets, who used to be at home in Perris, where Airspeed 4-way and 8-way world champion Dan BC is running the operation. They had attended the June meet at Skydive Elsinore, which is operated by another Airspeed 4-way world champion, Josh Hall. The skydiving centers are only half an hour of driving distance away from each other, and Dan BC could comfortably visit... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Czech Indoor Cloud League teams were not all 4-way juniors in September?
posted: Oct 6th, 2021 The NSL News covered the August scores of the Czech Indoor Cloud League team on September 13th. It was a special occasion, as it was the first time that a complete set of Indoor Cloud League scores was generated only and exclusively by 4-way juniors of all ages. Czech ICL manager Jan Klapka did not plan to set an example and had no intention to exclude any 4-way seniors. The older Czech 4-way teams and competitors have just not been ready yet to go back to the Hurricane Factory for the ICL events or any indoor activities. The opening times have also been inconsistent, and the scheduling has... (more)
News Article Did you know that three CTR Optimum members won in Brazil with INIT-Y?
posted: Oct 5th, 2021 Brazil's national championships took place in September, as well, and the participation was just as limited as it has been in other countries in the two years of the corona virus crisis. However, a smaller number of teams did not make the event less exciting, as it has also happened in several other countries. The situation in Brazil was even more interesting due to the changes on the top level that the NSL News reported earlier this year. The update from Brazil on July 29th was related to the July competition of the Brazilian Tunnel League, where two lineups of the long-standing 4-way champion... (more)
News Article Did you know that Doug Barron's and Andrew Happick's 4-way journey included USPA Advanced Class gold in 2010?
posted: Oct 2nd, 2021 This year's USPA Nationals are just three weeks away, and the NSL News continues with the series of the USPA Advanced Class history. All national champions and their team careers between the introduction of the USPA category in 1999 until 2009 have been introduced so far (Frost - Teiwaz - Identity Crisis - Nemesis - Inferno - Adrenaline - Mass Defiance - Arizona Divewerkz - Aftermath - Rhythm - Furies), and the 2010 champions accomplished something very special. Doug Barron, Andrew Happick, Joey Coffineau, Ben Worrall and team videographer James Sides had won USPA's Intermediate Class gold medals... (more)
News Article Did you know that the September leaderboard had three different winners from three different leagues?
posted: Oct 2nd, 2021 The NSL News update on September 27th covered the Arizona Skydiving League's September meet and provided some interesting details of two of the three ASL teams who competed in the AAA Class, The Jets and AZ Defiance. ASL co-directors Eliana Rodriguez and Michelle Karamon now also provided the meet videos, which feature the four world meet and world cup champions of earlier years in competition action with The Jets (Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard, Dan BC, Brian Johnson), and Mark Kirkby with AZ Defiance. The third AAA Class team from Arizona had additional experienced 4-way competitors in... (more)
News Article Did you know that seven teams from Texas joined the September leaderboard?
posted: Sep 30th, 2021 The September leaderboard of the NSL 4-way Network is complete. The winners in the competitive categories (AAA - AA - A) came from three different leagues. The Test Subjects from Skydive Midwest had no opposing teams on the Rookie Class leaderboard and accomplished their first, the team's one and only scoring point, in the last round. SDMW NEXT member Greg Oldendick had put together this Rookie Class lineup. Teams from four leagues posted scores in the last month before the USPA Nationals 2021. Only the teams of the Texas Skydiving League did not claim one of the top spots in the three other... (more)
