News Article Did you know that father Aleš Zeman supports his 4-way water-fairy Marketa Zemanova and her Rusalky team?
posted: Dec 27th, 2020 Three Czech teams have been connecting the indoor events of the World Tunnel League in Poland and Czech Republic regularly in the last three months. A Class team Rusalky and the two family teams in the Rookie Class, parents with the Moravian Flyers and children with Smajilci, traveled to Poland when the Hurricane Factory was closed. The three Flyspot wind-tunnels in Warsaw, Katowice and Wroclaw have still been in operation, and the monthly events of the Flyspot Liga were within reach for the Czech teams. The update from Poland on December 23rd mentioned the presence of the three Czech teams... (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL Cloud Mondial January 2021 will be even better?
posted: Dec 25th, 2020 The NSL Cloud Mondial 2020 was actually created by the National Skydiving League to compensate somehow for the cancellation of all major outdoor events this year. It was not a new concept, as it has been applied for many years within the international NSL Network. It was new though that it became a world-class one-time event with the best teams in the world participating and posting scores and videos on the same leaderboard. World-class teams have participated randomly at events of the NSL Network in the past, while it was coincidence when they happened to participate together with other top... (more)
News Article Did you know that the same 15 teams competed again in the Flyspot Liga?
posted: Dec 23rd, 2020 The NSL News just posted a new Indoor Cloud League update from the Czech Republic before turning to Poland, where the Flyspot Liga completed the December competition today. It was the third time that the Flyspot wind-tunnels in Poland applied the same format as the one of the NSL Cloud Mondial, where the teams had a specific time-frame that they could use to perform the meet rounds. The Flyspot Liga gave the teams three weeks to complete the December meet (1st - 15th). The Flyspot Liga adjusted the competition format for the same reason, as the corona virus pandemic had the same implications... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Czech indoor teams used their 2-week window successfully?
posted: Dec 21st, 2020 The NSL News update on December 4th had explained the current situation on the 14+ annual leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League. It has obviously been a very strange year, and the ICL leaderboards are basically reduced to a database for teams, scores, videos and additional information. The monthly events are still competitive, with highscores and winners in the six ICL categories, even though the annual leaderboard is very skewed due to the different situations at the participating wind-tunnels. It is interesting that it was still a competitive situation at the time of the last update, mostly... (more)
News Article Did you know that Turning Points continues - no matter what?
posted: Dec 21st, 2020 When it rains it pours - right? It was not only that the happy and entertaining and enjoyable office community between BLUE SKIES MAG and NATIONAL SKYDIVING LEAGUE eventually came to an end, after several years of sharing office life and coffee with each other. BLUE SKIES MAG had personnel change after moving to downtown DeLand, and NSL joined the home office world - before there was something like a corona crisis. Then she came, sneaking in, no, crushing into our professional and private lives. I remember that my last BSM TURNING POINTS column had something to do with the virus, and here I... (more)
News Article Did you know that High Voltage used the NSL Cloud Mondial to step up to AA Class competition?
posted: Dec 19th, 2020 One of all the teams who participated in the NSL Cloud Mondial 2020 used the event to step up into the next competition category. High Voltage from Belgium posted scores for the first time on a AA Class leaderboard. A total of nine teams competed in the AA Class, eight from the United States and High Voltage, as the NSL News update was showing on November 16th. The NSL Cloud Mondial actually offered slots on the international leaderboard in all four NSL outdoor categories (AAA - AA - A - RRR). Most of the international competition took place only on the AAA Class leaderboard, with the exception... (more)
