News Article Did you know that the British A Class teams skipped a jump-off round for 2nd place?
posted: Aug 8th, 2014 The British A Class teams were just as much jockeying for positions as all other British 4-way teams at the Hibaldstow Cup 2014, a month before the national championships. Last weekend's results promise the next exciting A Class showdown in September. The A Class and Rookie Class winners at last year's Hibaldstow Cup, Tr4ck and Fly Wild, also won the gold medals at the national championships a few weeks later. This means that Kintama might have the best chances to win the national A Class competition this year. Kintama's 13.2 average last weekend was significantly higher than Tr4ck's winning... (more)
News Article Did you know that Equal Pay 4 Women edged out Phoenix by 0.09 seconds in a jump-off round?
posted: Aug 6th, 2014 It is about time for the story of the biggest drama at the Hibaldstow Cup 2014 last weekend. Equal Pay 4 Women (EP4W) won the AA Class competition by 0.09 seconds over Phoenix in the jump-off round. It was the first time this year that the new tie-breaking rules had to be applied. The earlier completion of the very last formation within working time wins the meet after the rule change in 2013. EP4W would have won the gold medals according to the previous tie-breaking rules, as well, with the highest score of the meet in Round 6. The audience has the opportunity now to check the timing of... (more)
News Article Did you know that both British national 4-way teams came out on top at the Hibaldstow Cup?
posted: Aug 4th, 2014 As every year, the Hibaldstow Cup is the last test for the British 4-way teams before the national championships, which will take place at the same location in a month. This time, the popular event was also the final test for the two 4-way teams who will compete for the United Kingdom at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014, Kaizen and Vision 99. In fact, the world meet in the Czech Republic is coming up sooner than the UK Nationals 2014, which are scheduled for the September 6 weekend. Kaizen knew for almost a year that the team would compete in Prostejov after qualifying... (more)
News Article Did you know that last weekend's overall leaderboard needed adjustments?
posted: Jun 19th, 2014 Last weekend's overall leaderboard has not been adjusted yet according to the number of rounds that all teams completed. 47 teams are ranked in the four different categories, and they came mostly from the United Kingdom (27) and the Netherlands (18). The Tomscat Trophy was scheduled for ten rounds, while the UK teams had only six rounds on their agenda for the United Kingdom Skydiving League meet in Netheravon. There was only one change on the AAA Class leaderboard where the Dutch national 4way team Cool Runnings was four points ahead of UK team SAVoA after six rounds. Dutch team Murphy Mania... (more)
News Article Did you know that Bodyflight teams won two UK outdoor categories last weekend?
posted: Jun 16th, 2014 The 4way teams in the United Kingdom completed their scheduled six rounds on Saturday last weekend, while the Dutch teams at the Tomscat Trophy celebrated their successfully completed ten rounds and the 5 - 1 victory of the Netherlands over reigning world champion Spain at the Futbol World Cup. The UK teams did not have the same opportunity as the Dutch teams. They completed all six rounds on Saturday and were probably also hoping for a good Futbol party, as their national team played the same night against Italy. It did not turn out the same way when Italy won 2 - 1 and the UK 4way teams... (more)
News Article Did you know that Phoenix took the AA Class top spot in the United Kingdom?
posted: May 21st, 2014 Last weekend's AA Class leaderboard was totally under control of the teams from the United Kingdom. The Danish teams competed only in the AAA and A categories, and the three teams from Florida had a hard time to keep up with the British top pace. Only Zunday's new lineup, with Point John Stares, was able to hold a place in the middle of the AA Class leaderboard. It was still a big move for Zunday with the team's first competition in the AA Class after two years in the A Class. New Point John Stares has only seen the Rookie Class competition sequences in his first years of 4way competition with... (more)
