Did you know that NSL-TV features 85-year old John "Old Man" Browett in action? posted: Jun 2nd, 2011 The NSL News recently visited Homestead where Skydive Miami was hosting the first "FSL Going South" summer meet on May 21. The story on 22 May 2011 included an NSL Talk video clip with Fred Whitsitt and Pam Manos who are running the operation of the skydiving center.
The same story introduced John "Old Man" Browett, who is one of the oldest active skydivers in the world and from South Africa, as Fred Whitsitt is. Interview and story both also provided additional profile information of the South African 4-way bronze medalist at the World Meet in 1997.

Did you know that Fred Whitsitt and Pam Manos take good care of their students in Homestead? posted: May 22nd, 2011 The NSL News has another update coming from the visit at Homestead where Skydive Miami was hosting the first "FSL Going South" summer meet. The scores of the two teams have been posted, and the NSL News had the opportunity to spend some time with the DZ management, Fred Whitsitt and Pam Manos.
Fred Whitsitt was a member of DeLand Equanimity, the South African national 4-way team, that won the bronze medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 1997 in Turkey. His team mates were Solly Williams, Gary Smith and Robbie Spencer.

Did you know that Tenacity members compete in Mideast and Florida this weekend? posted: May 21st, 2011 Coincidence brings together team mates of the 2010 season in two different lineups this weekend. The Florida Skydiving League visits Skydive Miami in Homestead, while the Mideast Skydiving League launches its 2011 season at Start Skydiving at the same time.
Jane McGuire trained and competed with Tenacity last year, an all-female lineup of the Mideast Skydiving League at Start Skydiving. Tenacity attended two MESL meets in 2010 and then took the 5th place of 31 AA/Intermediate Class teams at the USPA Nationals 2010 with a 10.3. average.
Tenacity continues this year, and Tail Joan Esson has... (more)
Did you know that Shannon Pilcher beat Solly Williams by one point? posted: May 5th, 2011 The International Bunny Meet has created the content for three different stories so far, and the NSL News still has to go back to the event one more time.
There was another interesting and quite exciting part of the competition that did not take place in freefall. The place of this kind of action was on the ground, mostly in the area between the creeper pad and the boarding area.
The four teams that competed in DeLand were split up into two different groups. The two teams from Sweden, Bardagi and CADO, were naturally closer to each other, and they also shared the same coach, Shannon Pilcher.... (more)
Did you know that Bardagi videographer Niklas Rodensjö delivers eye candy? posted: Apr 24th, 2011 The three Scandinavian teams at the International Bunny Meet were not the only ones competing this weekend. Three other teams from Norway and Bodyflight Atlas from Denmark attended the Viking Challenge in Perris. In fact, it was almost an exclusively Scandinavian affair, as Finland opened the 2011 season at the same time.
Germany's Final Four DeLand was the only team that is not from Scandinavia. This weekend's constellation is pure coincidence, as the hosts of those three meets scheduled their events independantly from each other.
The NSL News covered the DeLand event live at the competition... (more)
