News Article Did you know that DeLand Dunamis and Miami Reyand took on the AA Class dive pool for the first time?
posted: Jun 22nd, 2010 Last weekend's leaderboard is still not complete yet, as some of the scores from the Midwest and all scores from the Northern Plains have not been posted yet. They will be added as soon as they are availabale. One competition of the multi-event weekend took place at Skydive DeLand where four teams of the Florida Skydiving League braved the hot summer weather. All six rounds were almost completed in DeLand before a summer storm interfered with the Teiwaz attempt to re-jump Round 5 after a video failure. News Article Did you know that 22 teams attended the 7th Annual Z-Scramble?
posted: Jun 2nd, 2010 The NSL News made a roadtrip to Zephyrhills last weekend. Skydive City was hosting the 7th Annual 4-way Scramble, organized by Oren Kalb and Laura Song. The NSL News had heard about the event and the impressive participation year by year. It was time to check out live on site what is going on at this event. Event organizer Oren Kalb had mentioned earlier this year that he was once again expecting a great turnout. He had 12 teams lined up several weeks ago, and this surely caught the NSL News attention. News Article Did you know that Teiwaz had a Rookie Class lineup at Skydive City?
posted: May 18th, 2010 The weather played a role at all meets last weekend. It was too cold and miserable in Norway and too hot in Florida for the teams to come out in flocks. The teams in Denmark were limited to five rounds at the popular DFU Cup. The new Norwegian national 4-way team X3M4s was actually ready to put the first scores of 2010 on the board. It turned out to be only one single round in challenging weather conditions, while Denmark's national team Bodyflight Voluntas completed five rounds. News Article Did you know that the Falcon lineup added two new members to the Teiwaz Club?
posted: Apr 20th, 2010 The April meet of the Florida Skydiving League produced a few new Teiwaz members. The NSL News story on 17 April 2010 mentioned that Steve Hamilton, also known as Stefano Hamiltoni, filled a slot for the Teiwaz Eagle lineup while he was coaching the Norwegian national 4-way team in the female category, Polaris. Teiwaz Eagle competed in the AAA Class competition and is the lineup that experiments with new techniques and procedures for jump preparations and meet performance. News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP's 2010 season is in full swing?
posted: Apr 19th, 2010 The highest number of attended meets by any teams in 2010 is four at this point in time, and only one team can claim it. Aerokart Deep Blue, the French national 4-way team in the female category has competed once per month so far. Deep Blue's season opener was the Dubai Championship in January. The Aerokart Indoor Championship 2010 on home turf was next for the French world class team in February. Shamrock Showdown in March and World Challenge in April completed the Spring Tour 2010 for Deep Blue. It seems as if the top contender in the female 4-way category is getting stronger meet by meet.... (more)
Did you know that Eyjafjallajökull is causing trouble for Sinapsi?
posted: Apr 17th, 2010 Four teams made it to Sebastian for a small FSL 2010 April meet. However, one of the best US teams, SDC Rhythm XP, was competing together with the Norwegian national 4-way team in the female category, Polaris. Both teams just attended the World Challenge 2010 at Bodyflight Bedford. However, Polaris needs the outdoor competition experience, as the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 in Russia is coming up soon. Sebastian is Rhythm's home turf throughout the winter season. The story of this meet is a completely different one though, and the NSL News will go back to Rhythm and... (more)
