Did you know that Round 1 of this weekend's meet in DeLand is already on NSL-TV? posted: Apr 20th, 2008 The second meet of Florida Skydiving League 2008 season was stopped by a weather front in the middle of Round 6. However, several teams used the opportunity of the 10-round meet option at Skydive DeLand. The national teams of Denmark (Danish Blaze), Canada (Evolution), Norway (Arcteryx) and the US female lineup (Fastrax Blue) had planned for a 10-round competition, and a few other teams continued with the meet on Sunday, either to complete the six rounds or go for all ten rounds.

Did you know that Evolution has documented the 4-way family career on a new DVD? posted: Apr 17th, 2008 The story of the Canadian national 4-way team Evolution has been covered by the NSL News several times in the past. It is one of the most amazing stories in the history of Formation Skydiving competition, and it is far from being over.
Father Michel LeMay (Center Inside) and his three sons Martin (Center Outside - 22), Vincent (Tail - 19) and Benoit (Point - 17) have started their second year as a complete family team. Michel LeMay's teammate in the late 70's and early 80's, the time when Canada was on top of the world in 4-way and 8-way, Daniel Paquette, is filming the team.

Did you know that teams of all competition classes won cash in DeLand? posted: Mar 27th, 2008 Two more days until the start of the World Challenge 2008, and the NSL News completes the official eight rounds of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008 just in time. The videos of the teams that continued with Rounds 9 and 10 will be uploaded later.
Round 8 was the last round of the Skins Game. Skydive DeLand sponsored the round with $400 cash. Teiwaz won the money after handicap and forwarded it to the team in second place after handicap. The four former Teiwaz members of Sebastian Tempest appreciated the move and the cash from Skydive DeLand. (more)
Did you know that Norway's team Venom won $300 Monster cash? posted: Mar 25th, 2008 Round 7 of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008 saw Airspeed Odyssey coming back and posting a new highscore for a round after losing three points to France Maubeuge in the fast Round 6.
The Skins Game also had a new winner in this round. Monster Energy was the sponsor for Round 7. The energy drink has been supporting NSL events and the participating teams for a few years with product and now added $300 cash to the jackpot for this year's Shamrock Showdown.

Did you know that the public view has not changed? posted: Mar 23rd, 2008 The NSL once again invited the local media to participate in the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008. Press releases and invitations to the media representatives were sent out prior to the event. The result was once again very different to any expectations after the reporter of the Daytona Beach News-Journal visited live throughout the event weekend.

Did you know that official and unofficial world record owners faced each other in Round 6? posted: Mar 22nd, 2008 The 4-way and skydiving community around the planet has been waiting for the videos of Round 6 of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008 to be uploaded. It is now time to be impressed by another unofficial 4-way world record for a single round.
The sequence of Round 6 surely was the fastest one of the competition draw with five random formations (G-C-J-D-B). However, Norway's national team in the female category, Fortitudo, had not drawn not the fastest record sequence at all. Many experts did not really expect a score that would beat previous world records - official or unoffical ones.
