In the race for the top of the leaderboard, the big question was how Sinapsi PD would be able to digest the significant defeat in round four. Did you know that the Skins Game was once again a great success? posted: Mar 29th, 2006 The previews of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2006 included an article on March 13, which offered information of and the rules for this year's Skins Game. The FSL management and former DeLand Majik members were busy prior to the meet collecting prizes for winners of the rounds, and also for the overall winners. (more)
Did you know that DeLand Fire took the lead from Sinapsi PD in Round 4? posted: Mar 28th, 2006 Round 4 of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2006 is now ready for the NSL-TV audience. It was the fastest round of the competition and offered each team the opportunity to log in new record scores. DeLand Fire ended up posting a new unofficial world record with the team's 47-pointer after a 1-point deduction.
DeLand Fire also used the opportunity of the fast round to complete the catch-up situation with Italy's Sinapsi PD. The US national team had been six points behind Sinapsi PD after the first two rounds and came back with the highscore in round three, which reduced the Italian lead to three points.... (more)
Did you know that Round 3 shows creative engineering by Optic Nerve? posted: Mar 27th, 2006 The next round of NSL-TV has now been uploaded. Round three of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2006 includes several interesting aspects of the competition.
The featured team is Optic Nerve with eye surgeon and Skins Game sponsor Dr. Joel Shugar, Solly Williams, Bob Byrne and Marco Arrigo from Italy. The NSL News will follow up later with a more comprehensive introduction of Optic Nerve and its never ending rivalry with Teiwaz. (more)
Did you know that Norway's Arcteryx quietly moves up towards the top? posted: Mar 25th, 2006 The NSL News has just begun with the review of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2006, including meet stories and the first two rounds of NSL-TV. However, other media outlets have obviously followed the competition action in DeLand carefully and have already posted news stories or currently prepare articles.
The Skydiving Magazine asked the NSL News for team pictures of DeLand Fire and Sinapi PD shortly after the event. The latest Aerodyne Newsletter mostly covered the performance of the Norwegian national 4-way team Arcteryx at the Shamrock Showdown under the subject: "Arcteryx on track". The Norwegian... (more)
Did you know that Italy Sinapsi PD prefers to feel pressure from behind? posted: Mar 24th, 2006 Round two of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2006 has already been available for viewings for a few days. As at other special NSL News event reports in the past, a separate NSL-TV page also offers access to the previous rounds of the competition.
The last NSL News story, which came along with the video files of round one and a story of the Austrian team Monkey Circus, mentioned that the Italian team Sinapsi PD visited at the NSL office a few days after the competition in DeLand.
