It took only one weekend until Arcteryx would catch the attention of the NSL News once again. The second meet of the Florida Skydiving League last weekend in Lake Wales gave the Norwegian team to chance to achieve both goals. (more)

The Norwegian score of 20 points tied Belgium's national team Spa Hayabusa's result for this round. This means more to the Arcteryx members as it might indicate on the first view. (more)

News Article Did you know that the Fastrax judging call offered four different options?
posted: Apr 12th, 2005 The last on-line judging quiz of yesterday's NSL News story surely was a difficult one. Once again and as difficult as it was to find the Majik infringement in round two, it required a sharp eye to detect the Fastrax infringement in round four. The low resolution and small NSL-TV screen does not make it much easier to be a good and sharp judge. The first comment by a guest in the according topic of the NSL Forum found the right spot: "It's hard to tell. One adder looked keyed a bit fast (3rd page). Two of the stardians (3rd and 4th page) the flash was hidden behind a knee - you could see he... (more)
News Article Did you know that there were six different ways for Block 5 in round four?
posted: Apr 11th, 2005 Round four of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 finally brought the new Block 5 (Opal - Opal) into the 4-way game. Block 12 (Bundy - Bundy) was already drawn for the first competition of the 2005 season, the SSL Valentine's Meet 2005 at Skydive Arizona in February, as well as the Star (M) as a new Random Formation. Block 5 missed its chance in Eloy and was actually hiding again in Richard Schachner's draw box, even after ten rounds were already drawn. The Shamrock management decided to make an adjustment of the competition draw to give teams and judges the opportunity to learn more about the overhauled... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Glitter Pimps and Jamba kept Joey Jones busy at the Shamrock Showdown?
posted: Apr 6th, 2005 The FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 was busier for some people than for others. Several top competitors were busy coaching while competing at the same time and working on a big formation camp in DeLand. One person was surely out of breath by the end of the first meet day after a challenging double duty. Former DeLand Majik member Joey Jones had committed to jump with and coach two participating teams, "Jamba" in the AA Class and the "Glitter Pimps" in the AAA Class. Jones is used to jump a lot on one day, however, the situation at the Shamrock Showdown was more challenging than usual. The weather... (more)
